I like how they say the exits should not be touched inflight. I was on a US LGW-PHL flight once, and a guy kept standing by the exits, it was creepy.

When will CI shed its poor safety reputation? The last fatal incident happened in May 2002, so if enough time passes without another catastrophe CI will shed its negative reputation. For instance, Korean Air used to be considered unsafe (last fatal incident: 1997), but now it is considered safe.

Media loves to pick scapegoats, unfortunately China Airlines fit their target. My dad is always angry whenever the media jumps to CI's troubled past, he flew for CI for 20 years without a hitch. The recent 737 fire is an example, it's obvious that Boeing made a mistake during production, but the media continued to report CI's past even though those days are over.
