In Spain, however, the monkey chants and banana throwing still occur, players are spat on and all kinds of other disgraceful acts take place. In Italy games have been paused for several minutes so that the referee could warn the crowds that if they don't stop racist chanting, the game will be called off.
None of that has happened in any English league for decades, get out of denial.
