ok-I've looked through the comments and no one has come up with the name of the drummer! It is so awesomely cool that Mr. Evans (I saw his orchestra live in the mid 80's-amazing!) had a woman drummer who rocks!
The bass player is Mike Richmond; the drummer is Sue Evans - no relation to Gil. The song is "Thoroughbred", by Billy Harper.
We got bootlegged a lot, and most of the recordings were sonically poor. At this point in his career, Gil wanted to see where the music could go; he was years past his "Sketches of Spain" period. There's no way a short, poor-quality video clip can convey the energy and emotion this band put out; you had to be there.

I own many Gill Evans records and I really admire Gill for his excellent collaboration with Miles Davis, but this is simply ... rubbish ! A weak moment in a fantastic career.

Georges Adams is great, as usual...
The bass player looks (and sounds) as Miroslav Vitous. What about the drummer?
