The theory of evolution does not state that living things evolved from non living things. There is a completely different theory to address the origin of life.
The theory of evolution only deals with how existing life has changed into the species that we see today, and common decent has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt. Evolution is the only reasonable explanation for the tree of ancestry that has been so thoroughly supported.
You are absolutely correct, with exception to there being a theory that explains the origin of life. Currently there are no theories, just a bunch of hypotheses that are hard to disprove.
Indeed, I often use layman's terms when discussing evolution, because when they say that it is just a theory I like to say that it has been proven. Yet proofs are only used in math, and in science the word theory is practically interchangeable with the word law. So, yes as of yet, there are only hypothesis for abiogenesis.

5 months later, I get to chime in. Someone posted this video on Yahoo Answers, calling out creationists for being retarded, etc.
Not one person, aside from myself, actually bothered to see what was going on. Two seconds looking through the comments is pretty obvious this isn't an actual Creationist video, just you goofing off with the Speak-n-spell. Or Microsoft Bob, whatever it is.

The theory of evolution does not state that living things evolved from non living things. There is a completely different theory to address the origin of life.
The theory of evolution only deals with how existing life has changed into the species that we see today, and common decent has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt. Evolution is the only reasonable explanation for the tree of ancestry that has been so thoroughly supported.

You are absolutely correct, with exception to there being a theory that explains the origin of life. Currently there are no theories, just a bunch of hypotheses that are hard to disprove.

Indeed, I often use layman's terms when discussing evolution, because when they say that it is just a theory I like to say that it has been proven. Yet proofs are only used in math, and in science the word theory is practically interchangeable with the word law. So, yes as of yet, there are only hypothesis for abiogenesis.

That evolution does happen under circumstances in which it is possible and reasonable for life forms to slowly alter their habits and way of living according to these circumstances, and in the long run even cause a change in their outer appearance by doing so, has long been proven. I simply recommend Wikipedia to read up some information about that.
Educate yourself about a topic first and THEN try to argue about it.

Corn.
Corn has not always been as it is. It started out as a grass much like wheat was. Over the years of cultivation by the Native population of the United States, you find a slow progression in height and seed yield compared to it's ancestors. teosinte was it's original grass according to several theories. Now you have roughly 7 different types with several different features. All originating from grass.

I simply recommend Wikipedia and the literature linked there to read up some information about it.
First educate yourself about a topic and THEN try to argue about it. In your case, you'll now have to do it the other way round.
