It's easily the best music I've ever heard on the Sega Genesis in terms of audio quality. It sounds like an old night club. I think the Gen sound chip is better for electronic music than snes's. For rock music Snes is better (guitar like sound is really good and has no equivalent on Genesis).

Seeing as "Tommy Lasorda Baseball" had come years earlier on Genesis, I always thought as a kid that the "Sega Stadium" in SoR2 was in fact the generic stadium in TLB, and that the Big Bens were clones of Tommy (who never appeared in his titular game outside of the title screen and cover art). XD

Aside from being a great tune, I can't help but laugh when I hear it as the cheesy Tommy Lasorda Baseball cover art pops up in my head!
