  • I just love these homes & have so for the last 40 years. Yet, I've never been able to afford one. All the way through my Naval Carrier, I've spoken to many people about the Dome type Homes, Yet few people ever listen, What You Need is better advertisement and or Shows, only through Blanket Advertising will the people start to learn about Dome Homes. Sorry, Word of Mouth is not doing the job. Get together with the Dome Home Owners, Mainly those who went through the Tornado's & Heatwave this year

  • Show the real truth BANKS will not fund the building of domes because of the loss of potential income. They want you to die in a tornado your death provides funeral homes with clients loosens up ins$ hospitals and rehab clinics with patients workers with jobs rebuilding your home. Imagine if all domes were in the path of the Joplin even the media would not have anything to report other than the people killed that were outside of their domes. Domes are just too safe the Alice Charmers of housing.

  • I want a dome any dome eco dome MDI dome or even an AI dome. The eco dome is said to not insulate you as well you have to apply coatings etc, I would build ecodomes and have a car cover parking structure build over it you see them all over for $600. Greenpower science shows how we can provide heat passivly with 8 inch water tubing used for air heating he demonstrated ways to heat water using tubes in a window the water maintained a temp into the night all methods work well. We need protection!

  • Regarding the Pensacola dome, you did not say how the building withstood the hurricane, other than that the people went to sleep, and there were broken windows. What was the total damage the next day? I assume it was minimal. Would like to have known more.

  • @solacel There was an article about "Dome of a home" the design of the home was such that allowed the water to take out the doors and the lower wall on the first floor. The stairs were wood they too were destroyed these are cosmetic and not structural components not necessary for the structure to survive. The home he chose to showcase is not what the average person would build construction cost was over $600K but he was able to sell it for much more than that.
