This film has not dated badly 13-14 years old, some of the special effects still look pretty good.

It had a lot going for it. Suprised it sort of flopped. It had its moments, could have been a lot better.

I liked the movie as a kid but never really wanted to watch it again since. After watching Nostalgia Critic review it I realize how lame it kinda was.

This trailer however is badass, would've been the whole way through if not for that damn loud robot.

Apparently the film didn't succeed as much as they thought it would. I thought it kicked ass, just a few minor problems here and there that could be fixed in the sequel. Overall I agree, why not a sequel.

the movie grossed over 143,000,000.00, cost 100,000,000.00 to make, so it didnt make as much money as expected, but they need to do a 2 and 3 to complete the saga, with good scripts, they just need not to spend so much money on cost, if start trek can do it, then i cant see why lost in space can

Try getting the first 3 eps of the old LIS series and you'll see that it's A LOT alike the original. Only much better. It's obvious to me that the actors watched those eps and imitated what they saw. And Smith was THE most like his self from the old series (in the first 3 eps anyway, which is all I've seen).

The song was made by Jerry Goldsmith for the Judge Dread trailer. He was taken off the project and replaced by the guy who did the music for Back to The Future. You can't find that song, I have looked high and low for it! :( If anyone does find it please tell me though, I really to like that song and it kills me that I can't listen to it.

The plot line of this movie killed it. They tried build upon the original 1965 episode, "The Derelict" but without a coherent ending. Dr. Smith as a giant, mutated space spider with an egg sack? Come on. They should have kept it simple with a crash landing and the original J-2.
