In the books it is You Cannot pass, and he says it 3 times if memory serves. In the movie is is You Cannot Pass followed by a You Shall Not Pass shortly followed by a small explosion, the balrog falling down a pit gandalf getting pulled down and saying: Run you Fools...HOWEVER in the book Gandlaf actually says: Fly you fools, again if my memory serves me.
He DOES say "fly" in the film(s) as well. the only time he says "run" is one or two times while they're trying to run from the balrog to the bridge of khazad-dûm.
"For Kaz Modan"? Bah, BARUK KHAZÂD! KHAZÂD AI-MENU! Axes of the dwarves! The dwarves are upon you! Wildhammer, dark-iron and bronzebeard? they all fade before the might of Ered Luin, Erebor, Khazâd-Dum and their brothers!
@militarism If you want to be even more precise you could mention that J.R.R Tolkien wrote "You cannot pass" in his books, but Peter Jackson was the one who changed it to "You shall not pass". Personally I think Peter Jackson's version sounds better than Tolkien's version would in the films, but you have to respect the books too :)

Actually, if you want to stop being a douche bag and fellating Peter Jackson for his piss-poor adaptations, he says "You cannot pass" both times.

Incorrect!
The first sentence is absolutely "You Can Not Pass!"
The later is "You shall not pass!"
Anyway, just for fun :)
