  • Bring the card to the top, do a Marlo Tilt and put it in the middle, then put the X card in the middle and back to the top and then show there's no double.

You can also use that move of hiding the card for the Ambitious Classic and many other tricks.

  • Will Item #2 be released any time soon?

  • Its the ascanio spread, please get the credits right before you make a vid, its offensive.

  • I do a similar trick from time to time..

But it's a bit different, I give them more freedom of choice and not only 3 cards..

Then I split the deck into two and put the "x" no. of cards into the other pack, so that their card is on top of one of the packs.

I give them the pack they think their card is in, and let them shuffle.. Then the reveal can be basically anything.. I usually do a rising card effect..

  • @ronaldwangdra1995 Any chance I could convince you to post a video response of this? I would love to see it!

  • @jerakahol

I don't have a camera to record it with... Sorry 'bout that...

  • I like the idea of the ACR, but maybe if you want to incorporate that spread you could somehow include a color change since there is the extra card such as the shape shifter to make it jump to the top. If I get a chance, I will play around with the routine and idea tonight and try to make a video response!

  • @Kbutto424 Good plan! I look forward to the video!

  • Maybe I'm just "contaminated" by watching too much magic videos and trying it out myself, but I figured this one right away. MAYBE a slight improvement would be to make it as one of the stages of The Ambitious Card Routine. Since ACR involves bringing the card to the top and that's exactly what you're doing here.

  • @TomEnglund I hear you on that one... good suggestion! I'd like to stay away from the ACR, since it is so widely used, but, as they say, if the shoe fits, wear it. :D

  • I think it's pronounced a-si-ano spread.

  • @LeJo82 Thanks for the feedback! I just Googled it and apparently it is spelled Ascanio and pronounced Osk-on'-yo.
