Stretches666 - On this particular trip the fish were schooled up and feeding so the metal lure was employed the whole time. It's just a personal preference but the lure and light gear make tailor fishing a stack of fun. On another recent trip to Fraser, there were a lot more bigger fish around and the bait (pilchards) were equally effective. On that trip, bigger lures were used as well (65gram metal lures).
ak74u2 - twisty's a great lure, stick with it as tailor will definately attack it

i use the halco twisty its really great its caught me not only trevally but also salmon and bonito
