People are saying they weren't warned, well soldiers came and basically told them to leave, but they didn't want to, soldiers got drunk and decided to scare the people away and acidently murdered a man, then when the they came back with lawer they towns people murdered them for payback, starting a war and the survivers run into the hills, the bombs were dropped and all the children born after that were deformed.

Although this film always bothers me, they should burn and die from radiation

Yeah, Pluto is the huge guy. They're all mutated from nuclear tests in New Mexico. So he, along with everyone else, is fucked up by the fallout because the government didn't warn the people in the area that they were doing tests.
