  • hot damn it still gets no better more epic then this, even the music.......

  • I'm confused...I've never played Radiant Silvergun but am shocked that I didn't hear the "last" level tune known as "Origin" one time. I anticipated I'd hear it just before "The Stone Like", but it didn't happen!

    I miss something?

  • @bub777 Origin was only in the Saturn version, he's playing the Arcade one.

  • This form changing makes me think about the Seven Force in Gunstar Heroes (another great game from treasure) , but 100 times stronger that's for sure! XD

  • I realt enjoy the song from the begining, somone know what's it called?

  • Just sank some 6hrs into this game last night.

I thought I was getting good and then I saw this.

    Damn.

    Mad skillz overkill!

  • Are the humanoid more one form of Golden Silver? :p

  • Oh god, Xiga. Reminded me of Ultraman when I first fought him. Freaked me out too when I saw the Stone-Like beating out of his chest.

    Poor Reana.

My mouth was agape in awe at the final stage and ending.

  • Xiga looks hard as hell to defeat. But sheerdog handled it pretty well. Props to you!!

  • Too bad he didn't do this on the Saturn, I would've loved to see his tactics for points VS the Extra Saturn bosses.

  • woah that big huge guy looks epic

  • Looks pretty easy. I don't know how the controls and the ships hitbox work though so i can't really say. Is there higher difficulty settings in the game?

  • yes, the video is in Normal Mode; there are 5 difficulties in the game: Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard

  • As with all other Bullet Hell Shooters, the ships have small hitboxes to cater to the masses of bullets. Each weapon from the silvergun's diverse arsenal is activated by certain button combinations.

And since bullet hell shooters are quite exclusive to Japan, not everyone knows that these kinds of games has been around for over 15 years now.

  • Well, i do play some bullet hell games my self. Does the name Touhou ring a bell? Maybe it does, i don't know but i'm quite familiar with bullet hell games. I really like the idea of having a small hit-box and having to maneauver it through seemingly impossible attacks. Maybe i should check out Radiant Silvergun.

Still, its a shame that western players don't play these kind of games. I think gamers have become to soft these days...

  • Yeah, and they're more into games like Halo and Gears of War.

  • True. Still, even though i'm very fond of bullet hell games i can still find pleasure in games like Halo and especially Gears of War (the latter being one of my favorite action games of all time).

But i guess the obscurity of the genre have its advantages. Showing off your incredible gaming skills is fun. No matter if its real life or in youtube videos. (Real life showing off is the best though. Real badass!)

  • they should of left the sword out of this game would of made it a heck of a lot more challenging than it already is. overall this game is god

  • Compared to einhander this game is like a religious experience.

  • what sucks about einhander is theres no co op mode like radiant silvergun.

  • I just bought the arcade version!

Just need to find a site that explains the combat system better.

  • Wow...this game sure makes Ikaruga look like a walk in the park. I used to like Ikaruga, not Radiant Silvergun. After seeing this, I still like Ikaruga, but I like Radiant Silvergun a bit more.

  • there both great. but the hardest will be bangai o spirits.

  • Definitely one of the best shooters ever made. This game even kills Ikaruga.

  • Someone please tell me why this game is so popular to fans of the genre.

  • This game is so different from most arcade shmups. It has a great storyline There are no mega bombs, speed ups or power ups whatsoever. The only way to power up your weapons is to score with your 7 different weapons at hand. The game forces you get better. It is something that has to be experienced firsthand to truly appreciate.

  • You're playing this on an emulator?

  • And I thought Ikaruga had its moments of sheer insanity. At least in Ikaruga a projectile only has a 1/2 chance of being lethal if it hits you.

  • @DaWrecka Although with Ikaruga, there are far, FAR more projectiles, and the sheer sensory overload can cause you to sometimes switch into an opposite colour. Like with The Tangeri Battle

  • This is play by wiz who is very famous game player in japan.

  • what if radiant silvergun 2 ( not ikaruga ) will be on other consoles?

  • there is no rs2 jackass

  • Ikaruga is actually RS's spiritual successor. There's already another spiritual sequal that's secretly in the works.

  • What makes you think there will be RS-2, masterkill? >:@

  • @BDaFalcon Well maybe there will be another Spiritual Successor if Radiant Silvergun HD is successful.....

  • I need to own this game...u.u

  • Props to whoever made this vid. Is this your gameplay, or is it one of those Japanese game-geeks? :P

  • I'm yet to see a speedrunner or scorerunner ever post their own vids on Youtube, for whatever reason. So it's not likely the poster playing, here.
