Mansion built in 1700's- burned in 1917. It had a flat steel or iron roof that supported two large cuppolas used for lookouts & reading(later reduced to one when a sloped roof was installed)- three stories tall + large cellar made it virturally FOUR stories! The family was buried near the house, but their elaborate tombs were moved to nearby Abbington Church for safekeeping. The mansion would probally have been rebuilt if located in/near the Williamsburg area.
