  • Oh , I love it !!!!

  • Is it weird that I love this type of music at my age ??? I am a 1 year old Cat who lives in sunny so cal.... I get so tired of looking at those comments , it doesn't matter what age you are ...

  • Oh wow, I like his voice!

  • Muito bom; mas, é perfeccionista em termos musicais? Ouça com Temptatios.

  • A pleasure to hear!

  • I know it sounds impossible nowadays to say this - people might think you stupid or just stuck up in the past but whatever- :I LOVE JAZZ!

  • hey...thank's this is a beutiful song.....is so sweet to my heart....the sound....the voice....i'ts so wonderful.....someone wants to dance with me???? please!!!! <3<3<3

  • Quite honestly, I think you sing it much better than Frank.

  • to Aulsberg. listen to the 1961 recording of Frank doing this..tehn you will know where the temptations got there version.

  • this is the song sung at my grand father funiral.

  • ist kind or irritating to put nat king coles pic on it, sorry

  • Very nice! I kisw

Love the way u sang it!

  • Maravilhoso!...

  • Well done. I was expecting Nat, but you did a fine job...I don't think Nat or Frank would mind a bit.

  • 100,000+ views --- WOW! Thanks Guys!!!!

  • @julliard06 Frankly, I arrived thinking I'd hear Nat Cole, heeding the pic you used - so don't be too sprung by the hits. Most visitors here were likely under a similar misapprehension. I sincerely suggest work to improve intonation; you wander way off note at times, hiding pitch inaccuracy in your overworked tremelo. Rhythm's fine, so be encouraged. I note that as you increase a note's amplitude you increase pitch drift - hitting a note cleanly and breath control are never wasted.

  • @walshamite duly noted...can't do too much about the pictures at this point mate, but thank you for your honesty. I really appreciate that, especially coming from someone like yourself who appears to have such a firm grasp on vocal pedagogy. It will only help me get better : )

  • @julliard06 This is good. Real good

  • Nice voice. I imagine that you are going to first look at the Nat King Cole repertoire? You both have similarly smooth voices, I think. I also like the way you play a bit with swinging it, without trying to disguise the song.

  • Wonderful voice! you should record your own CD

  • is it wierd that i love this type of music along with blues and jazz at my age??? I am a thirteen year old boy who lives in sunny so call. i also love playing along with my alto sax. and no one at my school even knows these artists, thy look at my ipod and say who is bb king or who is cole porter and im all like O_o u have no colture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and im wondering if im the only onee?? and if its wierd that im like thiss???

  • @luanskates no, you're not the only one who likes this! ;) and I think you must be proud, because that is being Yourself!

  • @luanskates ur not wierd! u just have great taste for music! way to go!

  • @luanskates To answer your question directly: unusual, but not in a bad way. There is nothing wrong with liking quality music and performers no matter what your age is. I commend you for liking quality.

  • @luanskates

No, it is not weird that you like this music. You just keep on listening. Have you ever dug on Louis Jordan, Jimmy Rushing, Little Willie John, T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, Slim Harpo, Dinah Washington, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fletcher Henderson, Buddy Johnson, Albert King,Tiny Bradshaw, Babyface Lewis, Lowell Fulson, Otis Rush or Jr.Parker Check out a band on youtube called Planet D Nonet currently playing in the Detroit area.

  • @luanskates no. its AWESOME that you are

  • @luanskates Dude wtf, of course it's normal, in fact, be proud of it!

  • @luanskates You can stay cool with that....Just believe in what your heart tells you....THAT is real music.....;)

  • @luanskates No, not that crazy in fact. The best music in each genre (classical, jazz, folk, popular, choral, etc) has a message which is soul-food. Always be open to every kind of music - it is one of life's most rewarding gifts, leaving no hangover, no nasty kick in the tail, just an enjoyable afterglow of a tune in the mind. You are born with the talent for recognition, so by 13, it's quite "well developed". Nobody has discovered why we need music - but we almost all do! :)

  • TO ME SORRY, I DID LIKE IT WITH THE TEMPTATIONS

  • @azulserg I appreciate your honesty...

  • This is a lovely version. I hope your New Year's resolution is to get out there and be heard. Good luck.

  • as of this moment everyone, I am looking for gigs...If you have anything available, lemme know! I sing in any American style : )

  • nice!! =) My favorite version..so far.

  • brilliant voice, beautiful song!

  • Hey man,

Thank you for sharing! Your version is great :) Your voice is beautiful!

It feels weird in the beginning not to get what you expect, BUT I am not disappointed.

To prevent more people from such surprises, may I suggest that you call your covers for what they are: covers... :)

Please carry on... good luck, as skills are in place.

    Regards from Norway :)

  • Cool interpertation..... Have you heard the Temptations version? If so, what do you think about it?

  • The world needs more singers of standards and jazz lyrics. You might not make a billion$ but, you'll have fun along the way. Go get 'em.....

  • I'm not usually a big fan of male voices, but your voice is really something. I love this cover :)

  • Do you have any other songs your voice is amazing !

  • Really beautifull your voice!

  • Y'all did a fantastic job with this!

  • Really wanted to hear this joint, but it will not load for some reason...very disappointed.

  • Beautiful image. Beautiful voice. Little piece of heaven, right here on YouTube...

    Thanks

  • very good man!!

  • Ya got a little of the Al Jarreau articulations in you. Very pleasant voice, keep singing.

I'm a critic because you're on youtube, so: I'd work on the approach to the ending, seems you tend to lose it a just a bit. A listener should not worry that the artist is gonna blow it. Or just keep singing this song 100 times. Having said that, you sing good, expected Nat Cole.

  • @trumpsahead

Wow, sorry I said all that. Wish I could erase it. Had to listen three times to hear better. I still feel your "pitch" was not as solid as it could be. But you're good and probably making money at it, or could be.

  • I falled in love 3 days ago, with this voice... I LOVE THAT VOICE!!

  • Hey, congratulations!

This is a karaoke version of the Nelson Riddle arrangements for his orchestra in the 1956 Frank Sinatra's album "A Swingin' Affair"

To be honest, when your voice cames into the song I feel such of displeasure (actually absolutely disgusting) that's why I'm expecting to the voice of Sinatra (I've heard his version of this song 2000 times, with identical orchestra)

Nevertheless, you are really good! Instead of Cole Porter, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Lady Day

  • @agiannastasio Thank you. For a couple of years now, it's been a habit of mine to utilize pictures that i find online which pertain to my music, and use them as slideshows in my videos, and this one is no exception. In the future, I guess i'll have to remember that is not everyone's particular cup of tee, here on YouTube. But, nevertheless, I'm glad you liked what you heard. : )

  • @julliard06 I love the artists you choose and those pictures... don't you have more standards recorded?

  • Wow!

  • @elmaranon : )

  • very nice william, thanks

  • @TheIrishlad12 Thank YOU for listening man!

  • okay now i need to know who amde this? is it the uploader of this video?

  • @kallemick my name is William A.R. May, and I am both the upload-er of this video as well as the one singing on it. : )

  • @julliard06 thanks for telling me :) btw i think youre really great i actually thought it was some well known jazz singer from the 50's or something like that it really sounds like a professional to me

  • @kallemick wow...thank you!

  • @julliard06 your welcome :)

  • I like it ... :-D

  • @Alan96box I'm glad : ) thanks for listening

  • Some songs simply will never die.Could it be that their composer was a Genius?

  • @vwharry1 Couldn't agree more. Cole Porter is one of the most eminently influential figures of 20th Century American Song and Americana. Here is one genius whose work will be around for a looooooong time.

  • i'm in love with you haha:') this is beautiful, i love jazz.

  • @caughtinthemelody I'm flattered! Thank you : )

  • Fantastic. Where can we hear more of your music?

  • @clarkbert Thanks! Hopefully, one day soon, I'll be putting out an album of my own. For the moment though, I'm just a lowly college student trying to make good grades and graduate. Check out my homepage to see some other music stuff I've done.

  • Unbelievable. Very good. God has given you an amazing gift. Keep shining

  • lol, thanks so much! Harry Connick Jr. is one of my faves, so I guess that would make sense : )

  • @julliard06 go 'head man. you kept the feel and brought it to the 21st century.
