My favorite part is when the biker sits down at the blood-pressure testing machine and puts his arm in the clamp. Then the zombies can grab him and he can't get away. As they pull on him, the machine's screen reads "Remain Still During Testing", and after they've yanked him to pieces and his arm is still in the machine, the screen says "Your Blood Pressure Is: 0 over 0".

My buddy elbowed me in the shoulder when he showed up onscreen and said, "guess who that is" and I was already on it.

By and large though, many probably thought that he was just "another ghoul" and not aware of his part in the prior film.

No Romero did not invent zombies. He just took voodoo folklore and made it into his own. Very creepy! Saw Night at the drive in when it came out and I was scarred for life!
