Seriously, anyone who's skilled in Japanese knows that only a verb is required in a complete sentence and that です is completely different from "to be" in all possible aspects.
Saying です after a sentence is primarily a sign of politeness, not the word for "to be".
For this the declarative だ is a much closer equivalent.
KOREWA is when the object u refer to is near to u or ur holding it (the guy was holding the camera) thats y its korewa sorewa is when the item is beign hold by sum one else or near sum body else i hope this thanks 4 the vids lol
Wow, I can't believe how complicated she makes these lessons. I know a great deal of Japanese, and she still confuses me. Why can't she just say, "Hai, means yes, Kore wa, means this, and Sora wa, means that."
With enough experience, a person would be able to figure out that words in Japanese don't alway translate into exact english.
I think everybody got that Hai means Yes, Kore means This and Sore means That. But she repeats that again and again on purpose. Otherwise, it'd be too easy and we'd forget it!
That problem is when you watch the buddies speaking normally and you have a reality shock! kkkk

Cant you fucking people of Japan not see that you are constantly putting up a barrier between yourself and people from outside of Japan every time you call someone a frigging foreigner?? Im going to let you in a little secret here. YOU ARE A FOREIGNER IN ANOTHER COUNTRY AS WELL!! AND DONT YOU FORGET IT!!! So fucking running around calling people foreigners ISNT going to do you any good!
wow? ever considering therapy? please look in the dictionary to see what foreigner means. it means "a person not native to or naturalized in the country or jurisdiction under consideration; alien." what part of this dont you understand?

YOU dont know what it's like over here!! It's not only be called "gaijin" thats bad, but the police go around stoping "gaijin" just because theY are riding a bike! A FUCKING BIKE!!!! WOW, GREAT WORK FUCK BALL. SINCE HES A GAIJIN HE MUST OF STOLEN THE DAMN THING! And I take it you havent seen the signs that are up everywhere in Japan saying "No foreigners"? People pulling their children away from you because after all, you are JUST a BIG BAD GAIJIN!!! You dont know what its like over here!!!
hai is That's right, or that's correct. It makes less confusion where Yes/no could be said. You seem to be saying what you learned from an anime or something where they aren't literal translations.
very very nice ^^ ive whrote those stuff in word now ^_^ very usefull ! they would send it here out too :P it's so cool lolz i orefer having Japanese then France !
You don't use kore/sore/are on people, only objects. You can say 'kono hitoha yan-san desu' to mean 'this person is yan'. In the video they're saying 'koreha yansanno desu', where 'no' is acting as a possessive of the implied baggage left out of the sentence. I spell 'wa' here as 'ha', since it's the correct form of the romaji, though the pronunciation is the same.
Sore wa great video desu. Right? That's kinda tough... since you have it but so does she... I guess they haven't gotten to that yet... At any rate this IS great~!

"Watashi wa Yan-san desu" is explaining "this is Yan."
CaRC1n0g3n 4 years ago
"Watashi wa Yan-san desu." means I'm Yan. Not "This is Yan." Kore wa Yan-san desu." is "This is Yan."

CaRC1n0g3n 4 years ago
You don't use kore/sore/are on people, only objects. You can say 'kono hitoha yan-san desu' to mean 'this person is yan'. In the video they're saying 'koreha yansanno desu', where 'no' is acting as a possessive of the implied baggage left out of the sentence. I spell 'wa' here as 'ha', since it's the correct form of the romaji, though the pronunciation is the same.
