  • Oh, earthtubes are also something to look into for passive cooling and heating needs. very clever.

  • My husband and I are actively preparing to build our house from earth and get self-sustainable. The more I keep simplifying in my mind the more and more I realize that I don't really 'need' electricity at all. It's just a luxury. =))

  • in the pines in the pines where the sun dont ever shine

  • winter survival like this isnt too hard. when i was in boy scouts we did a winter overnighter. it got to -20F. i made a lean-to shelter up against a pine tree. then laid branches and pine boughs down for the outter shell of the lean-to. also did that snow trick to keep the wind out. also laying pine boughs down inside the lean-to helps insulate you from the cold ground.

  • thank you very much for these vids :) we're on the same level of preparing. you're vids are perfect for inspiration and extra tips. thanx again. good luck to you in the future.
