While some people might think this device is not for them, I have talked with people who have played and tested it and while it is an iPod touch to start with, they say it has alotof different features that make this device a must have for the travelor who wants everything I'm one package. I'd say if you can find a way to test or play with it try that. If you still don't like it, don't buy it! :)

Really, It seems to me like an inconvience it's only wifi ready it can't be portable internet like a laptop, which means if your not in a hotspot you cant use it for browsing. So you have to carry around two bags. One with your iCrap, I mean iPad, And one with your Laptop. You can't use it for listening to music because you have to carry around an oversizze piece of glass to do so. If it becomes collapsable and expandable to make it convient then it would be a better product, until then FAIL.

@utprizzo u cant compare the ipad to an netbook, laptop or iphone; its an innovation becouse its the idea of moving paper like they always had in scifi movies, there will be two versions one with 3g and one without. bottom line: no one needs it but its still a great toy for rich kids, for this money (500$ - 830$) u can get a great laptop or netbook

It can be used to sit around your house and be casually picked up to do various activities. It looks to me like I'd much rather lay down on the couch and be holding an iPad than a laptop.

Especially for reading books, take a break check your email or whatever. Much more convenient, but I agree, not as much for away from your home/wifi area.
