Your voice is so boring. like your vid. i was trying to find out some decent info mate. I'll no be coming back to you ya punk!! DO YOU EVER GET ROUND TO MAKING A TRACK ?
I have ReMORE 25. Too bad that he made review of ReMOTE 25 LE, instead of "full" ReMOTE 25, which was I think the first of this kind of "little keyboard controllers for software synths". It still remains (at least to me) one of "sexiest" little controllers you can find. And the quality build is top, also the keyboard feel (maybe just a bit to hard to play it fast, comparable to other synths). It's hard to find more info about ReMOTE 25 online (or on youtube), because it's already a bit outdated.
ok..this may seem like a dumb question, but bear with me, lol. Can u just hook it up via USB and play it, or do u need to use the midi in port? if so, what do you hook it up to?
Its overall good but there are a few things that i dont like;
the modulation and pitch bottons are not good, hard to use.
and you cant just hook up the keyboard to your computer, you have to manually install it wich is tricky. and sometimes when you disconnect it and reconnect, it doesnt work. sounds like a lot of complaints, but its really good when you have it working. i reccomend it
I have the PCR-1, it came before the M1 with a soundcard built in and no MIDI or battery/AC (its all USB). And it has a shift key for the knobs, like the ReMOTE.
I bought it for the keys, they are not like other keys because they are pretty shallow and more like computer keys. Its easier to get consistent velocities out of with my sloppy playing style :)
I had a Edirol PCR... keys started to break after a year, now most of them are non-functional and I don't even have a working octave anymore. Be wary with the cheaper Edirol stuff.
where do i download the program from the internet??? for remote 25.. i got it because of this but i dont know where to get the program for it... please help me..
I came to this through the sonicstate Axiom review - all very informative. Thanx.
PS. I also agree with weaponx... this is a great example of the most useful type of programming available on YouTube... higly specific, much appreciated (narrow-casting we used to call it back in the heady days of "push" technology).
This is brilliant - there should be more like it.. its exactly what youtube should be used for, making what is essentially television that would never be put on television because its too specific for a mainstream all-encompassing audience. i hope to see alot more like this..
i'll check it out if you give me the URL? Thanks, im shopping for midi controllers at the moment, and this video is just great! I wish there was a review like this for everything

I think Shorn Rah is great. It's a great (informative) review and he also manages to be quite entertaining.

He had to be wearing that Freddy Krueger sweater on purpose. I always wanted one of those.
On topic though, I love these little mini midi keyboards. Very compact yet effective.

wich one is better, novation remote sl or remote compact ? why?
olirain 2 years ago
Depends on what you need/want.
Do you want drum pads or more Parameter knobs?

My 2 cents on the Edirol:
I have the PCR-1, it came before the M1 with a soundcard built in and no MIDI or battery/AC (its all USB). And it has a shift key for the knobs, like the ReMOTE.
I bought it for the keys, they are not like other keys because they are pretty shallow and more like computer keys. Its easier to get consistent velocities out of with my sloppy playing style :)

Good job on the review. I found it quite helpful to actually see the hardware being used in a video than reading a static review of it on a page.
