If you really want to speed up your post-processing time, get lightroom 20x better

@dugry18 dugry my mac is so slow it is excruciating and runs so hot it can't be used as a laptop.

Nikonview nx I find really fast but I just view and delete I don't make changes as I try to get that right in the camera

@jasin007 If I were you; I would backup my laptop and reinstall mac os x from scratch. After this you will not recognise your laptop, it will improve the laptops speed considerably, probably as good as new.

Then I firmly recommend you get lightroom 3.

If your laptop is still slow, I think you should start thinking about getting a new laptop or even better an imac, editing with the imac's beautiful and large screen is such a pleasure.
