Does anyone know the translation for the rest of the song they did not sing in English? This is my parents Wedding song and I would love to surpirse them.
thanks for posting it, this is one of my pieces at the conservatory as a voice major, my classmates and i decided to follow their blendinf but our vocal coach disapproved but in the end it was well received on our open recital. we got a good grade for it. thank you phil god bless you!
It´s definately one of the greatest numbers ever heard! Maybe i´ve got to study this language, because of this presence! Anyone there who would help me with the translation, please?
hi Andreasmuellerwelt, Ron here from the Philippines. Thanks for appreciating our language, and im very much willing to make a translation for you. Its an overwhelming for a filipino like me to hear from someone foreigner who loves to learn our local language.
This song is beautiful. It will always remind me of my parents especially my late father. He use to play it on the piano when I was a little girl. This song will always make me cry. Thanks for posting.
you know what, you're right. he is filipino or at least part filipino. he looks white to me though. his orange skin and all. filipinos don't turn orange unless they're part white.
omg ur my idol wen im listening to ur song i feel like im in heaven i wish i can meet you good thing u hav a tagalog song even though ur a americans i love u guys
my dad loves the Lettermen and wants to watch them this comin July!.. i figured it'll be a good belated Father's Day gift... so yeah.. i cant wait to watch em!! woohoo!!
MARK PRESTON used to have a shw in CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE CENTURY 1996 , i was the drummer on that cruiseship with my FILIPINO BAND , NICE GUY!GREAT VOICE!
Mr. Preston remembers you very well. He says he looks forward to seeing you again, if you're in the Philippines in early July when the group appears there.
Super galing! Minus the accent, plakado nila ang mga kanta natin. Siguro half-Filipinos sila? (just kidding). Sarap kasing pakinggan. It's priceless. Proud to be a Pinoy. Salamat sa 'yo 'lettermenfan1' for sharing.
I was in the audience in 1974 when the Lettermen performed at the Philippine Cultural Center for the first time. We waited for 30 minutes past performance time for Imelda Marcos to arrive along with her friend, Christina Ford. When The Lettermen sang Dahil Sa Iyo that night, Imelda stood up and sang with them.
My wife and I were married in Manila in April that year, and this song, has been "our song" ever since.
the group sang that for the first time in manila sometime 1974...the group was made up of tony butala and 2 pyke bothers...it's one of imaelda marcos' favorites...and on that same year, the miss universe pageant was held in manila for the first time...
