This will not work if any lossy compression is used. Several years ago I've found a similar project (that doesn't as musical as this, that was sounded awful, but drawn perfect geometrical shapes on the scope). The signal was in PCM WAV, and my attempts to compress it to mp3/ogg totally killed it, even if I used the highest bitrates or VBR, etc. In fact, I even don't have to compress it, just poke it with equalizer in some frequencies, and the picture totally disintegrated...
This is quality mate. Im steve Webb, we met once when i was very drunk at Paul Hughes' house, made a bit of a tit of myself. anyway, loving your work mate, looking forward to seeing you live.
What kind of frequencies are the ones used in steering the ray? The sine wave beep really corresponds to the box shape if you draw it radially; did you really also use the music itself (in addition to inaudible frequencies?) to draw the demo? My sincere respects.
Sounds like EVE Online.

this would make a perfectly fine track on it's own, it's almost unbelieveable that it actually encloses the visuals as well.

Nice. I very much like the idea of using the signal as a soundtrack. Not that bad as a song either :)

Are you applying the same feed to both the x and y axis? or is there some sort of stereo seperation on each axis?
