  • This is why you don't FUCK with Ben Affleck

  • @berner Mustache-less Freddie Mercury*

  • I've got bad gas!!!!

  • Possible to pull this off in half guard u think?

  • i use the double sorceror only

  • This move came in handy in alot of my fights...

  • i try this at the gym all the time, but to put a twist on it and throw in the wicked triangle instead of the original triangle

  • that's cool. he looks like the host of fear factor.

  • this looks very sexual and the guy on top is liking it too much

  • Awesome st up i'll try that tonight.

  • holy shit thats Justin Wilcox :D

  • as you are pulling your left arm out, you could grab above his left elbow with your right hand to avoid him from trying to get 2 in and stacking.

  • Looks like a good set up for Kimura to Guillitoine also.

  • To clarify, if you have the Kimura then take it. Often times your opponent will lock his arm underneath his stomach to prevent you from pulling it out. Thats when I transition to this triangle. I have a lot more variations of similar stuff I will post soon...

  • @OfficialSwick What if the opponent grabs his shorts? Are you still able to finish the move?

  • @OfficialSwick i do like the move ive looked at it before and like i said liked it but it seems that if the person was trying for posture there is very little to break them down is there some way to help in such scenariocos it seems your shifted and focused on one side. either way will play with it soon but if you can get back to me

  • @OfficialSwick ty very much for posting these "gym tricks"

  • dude i love your moves,, id love to train with you

  • What's witht he grip? Is that just your thing? How is it different from the usual grip where you grab your own wrist?

  • @RightWingCon81 he needs both hands on the other guys wrist coz he lets go with his right hand first.. if he was holding his own wrist, taking off his right hand would leave the arm free

  • @MoNKee8 i guess thats why u gotta be fast?

  • After I made my friend pass out from a choke and I thought I had killed him I will never do one again. But a few broken bones never hurt anybody hahaha.

  • the way he says kimura at 0:42 just cracks me up i have no idea why

  • how can u possibly not like to learn how to make people tap out and i don't see a better way of putting some1 in a tirangle choke then this method cus when i watch ufc so many times people flop the triangle choke cus the other guy see's it comming unless they're a crap fighter

  • Mike, if you can get his bent arm that far past his back why wouldn't someone just be safe and take what they have 75% in already, the kimora? Why risk if the arm is that close to a good lock? Thanks

  • @Kenny1968 hmm..good point. still, good to know.

  • cool tip. ill try it

  • mike u are awesome ur the only mma fighter that i know that dose that hand switch for locking in the triangle

  • biting the nuts, hmm, in that positiion the only thing he can bite is his own bicep, if he could bite the nuts, then the guy didnt have the triangle sunk in, at which point he deserves to get his nuts bitten

sweet transition, damn those shins are llong

  • Buena transición de Kimura a Triángulo.

  • You need to put your leg straight across the neck for optimal choking. So swing your body till you line up our calf with his neck, then choke.

  • very nice move....thnx for the vid !!!!!!!!

  • I once submitted a guy in a bjj match with this move...the transition is pretty hard! but it works..

  • nice moves

  • slick setup to a triangle...Love it :)

  • nice tip... I use the kimura fake a lot but mostly for sweeps, I'll start working in the triangle as well.

  • I did this move in a fight with only graples and i gave the kid a nose bleed this move is boss

  • I did this move in a fight with only graples and i gave the kid a nose bleed this move is boss

  • Channel comments are now enabled. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I will try and come on here when I can to answer questions... I will be keeping my Twitter updated often as well... @OfficialSwick Thanks guys!

  • @OfficialSwick anybody else like to see mike fight carlos condit i think it be a very good match up

  • Wicked submission; thanks Mike.

  • 1:02

This is some kinky shit right here, I'll tell you that.

  • is that sam spengler he's demonstrating this technique on?

  • aint this the nigga that be winning fights in like 2 minutes?

  • thanx i use this on my friends when we spare in jujitsu

  • i use this!! lol

  • die opfa suchen nur eine ausrede um sich gegenseitich begrabschen zu können

  • No, if that was Matt Hughes, he would've tried to lift him up since he's such a tough guy.

  • Very nice no-gi move. Thanks alot

  • looks like swick is rolling with matt hughes lol

  • nice

  • Gonna try this tonight......

  • after watching this, I have sooooooooooooo much more to learn about setting up transitions and faints!!!

  • kimura is a dangerous lock ive had a friend tat got a broken arm from a kimura lock

  • when mike went for the kimura, the grip he used, is that more effective than the grip where you grab your own forearm or does it not matter

P.S. hahaha SOZ if that didnt make sense i hope you guys know what Im talkin about

  • No he just did that to make the switch to the triangle.

  • nice

  • Great stuff

  • Isn't it many time in the transition? looks like easy to escape

  • yeah thats bad ass! cant wait to try that out

  • nice man

  • Clean

  • I'd imagine this only works in nogi / mma situations.. If you try this w/ the gi, you'll never get your leg out over his arm,

  • Nice one Mike!

  • Setup 101, I'm glad the guy actually pulled the head down instead of so many idiots in the UFC hanging on the arm like an armbar yet they are in a triangle? Locking up that triangle and grabbing the back of their head is instead air cut off and it works great.

  • I can't wait to use this :D!!!

  • i fuckn love Swick, and ive loved him since he appeared in TUF.

    He is, THE MAN!

  • i watched this 2 days before my BJJ competition even my instructor was amazed after doing this technique..well of course helps me win ;) thx quick

  • This is really cool man, can't wait to try this in practice!

  • SWEETTTTTTTTTTT

  • i wished i'm your dummy. kiss your golden feet...

  • Awesome technique!

  • muito bem explicado ....

  • Comment removed

  • Its always cool to learn from the pros becuase you know they know what works and they wont feed you a bunch of useless techniques...its a shame Mike did not get to fight ....by the way, the dudes has won 9 of his last 10 fights, were is the title shot

  • @WaysOfOld he got a title shot, he was told that the winner of the match against hardy would get the shot, hardy won so hardy got the shot..

  • Interesting, never thought of / seen a person transition from a hammerlock/kimura to a triangle, slick, I like it.

  • Mike "Slick" Swick

  • nice

  • Sweet set-up Mike! Good luck in the welters.

  • This is great in mma and in self defense, and you can always use the Kimura if you get the right grip.

  • Swick, Your the only character i use in UFC Undisputed 2009! Your The Shit!!!

  • that swick is quick

  • good luck at ufc 103

  • Thanks. I'll try to use this today.

  • I showed a friend a video of a gracie winning by triangle, and he didn't believe that you could actually apply enough pressure to do make someone pass out.

    I showed him :)

  • @godd4242 friend of mine didnt believe me that i could apply enough pressure with a neck cranck to break his neck i showed him :(

    regards from county jail

  • hell beat gsp with that move

  • I like it!

I will give it a go in 3 hours.

  • i really like this transition, because it not only serves as a means to trick a person into falling for the triangle, but it also serves as a nice option if a person is being really tricky when you've already been trying for the kimura.

  • worked like a charm today thanks dude.

  • Is Mike's practice partner a fighter? Who is he?

  • Yes, he is Justin Wilcox

  • damn good trick....i in mma,im gona be in the ufc.......im just doin some home training learning new tricks from ur videos...ur good.......im about to be in a national mma competition team for a tournament.....hopefully wen i make it to the ufc...we can face each other itll be good...

  • The leg and arm obstructs the blood flow of the common carotid artery (not the vertebral artery).

The complete obstruction of blood flow to the brain or asphyxia by complete closure of the trachea (windpipe) will result in irreversible damage (if held too long) to the body and possibly in death. However, in 99 percent of the choking techniques there is not complete blockage of the trachea.

  • Gogoplata and traingle hold has the same effect...

  • there own arm

  • swikitine

  • i dont exactly get the triangle choke. what exactly are you choking them on? I mean like what presses into their neck?

  • the persons arm is crossed over, which restricts blood flow with pressure to the corroded artery on that particular side...and the squeezing of the leg restricts blood flow to the other corroded artery on the other side...no blood flow to the brain, you pass out..tap out or black out

  • nothing presses into their neck...it's kind of like a headlock, your just cutting off their air supply-thus making them pass out

  • when you lock it in you saw him put the guys arm across his belly and it sinches down on the carotid artery. Or if you just squeeze tight enough your thighs will tighten up against the artery and cause him to either pass out or tap out.

  • i was going to ask the same question i think

its when u pull the arm across

    am i rite any1 ??

  • The leg which passes the arm (Swick's right, in the video) is cutting off the carotid artery on that side of his neck. The opponent's own arm is then locked in tight to his own neck with the other leg, cutting off the other carotid artery, resulting in a blood choke.

  • i use 2 think the same thing, but then my instructor put me in 1. the inside of ur thigh, and the arm that is traped inside makes the choke.

  • your hamstring chokes 1 artery...and there own shoulder cuts off the other artery...it aint pretty....does not feel good to be in one....

  • If you watch closely the thigh of the person applying the triangle choke is on one side of the neck very tight and the victims arm and shoulder obstruct the carotid blood flow on the other side of the neck (that is why the arm is placed opposite in a diagonal formation)...but to finalyze the move or to put your opponent to sleep or choke...you apply pressure on his head by firmly pushing the head down towards your crotch...this helps in cutting the circulation on both sides of the neck

  • gohawk, it's your leg on one side, and their arm on the other side.

  • your leg

  • carotid artery

  • carrodic arttery

  • Great job on your last fight man

  • good set up....tight and sure...will give it a try on the mat

  • I only see this working on a tired opponent. Even if it's executed perfectly it would take so long

  • idt any would bite your nuts period

  • hahahaha, I love it when uninformed ignorant morons try and comment on things they know nothing of. The person getting triangled is also busy panicking as he can't defend your punches, can't breathe and then all of sudden goes beddy bye bye. I've done this and the agressor started screaming and crying from sheer fright

  • good shit

  • nice

  • my favorite move

  • Hmm... I dont know if that would work well for me. Triangles are my A1 move.... This move has to be executed perfectly

  • Who is the fighter being triangled in this demonstration?

  • thats awesome!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice looking setup. I'll have to try this out in class next time. I'm always looking for new ways to set up triangles.

  • I'd never try this. What if the other guy would bite his nuts.. ..Ouch!!

    X-(

  • whyd u get a thumbs down...in real life that would happen i gave u a thumbs up~

  • Obviously in MMA or BJJ, nobody is going to bite your nuts dumbass =/

  • especially cuz most of the time you wear a cup :P

  • @travesham LOL!!!!!!!!

  • @travesham, They cant bite your nuts IRL ;) , I have had a guy try, annd you do is pass their arm under their forehead. Go on and play with your pokemon cards or learn some real fighting.

  • @travesham Not only that but the triangle puts you to sleep in a few seconds. The bite will only make the person committing to the triangle more angry and the result will be worse than just being put to sleep.

But, honestly, in the street if this position can be avoided it's probably best to do so.

  • @taichibailongball Exactly if you go to bite me nuts while in the triangle all its going to cause me to do is pull an Anderson Silva on you and blast elbows through your head.

  • @travesham hahhahahahahhahahahahhaha i fucking almost died laughing at your comment. Although in street fight they might try to do so.

  • An easy counter to your opponent biting your nuts is to use a free arm to gouge his eyes out. Also, try sitting up and returning the favor by biting their head, face, or ears off.

  • Or use the free arm to elbow the shit out of his skull.....

  • with your balls in his mouth... stupid! :D

  • That is why you extend the hips, and that wont be happening :)

  • There is always people like you who come in here and try to act like these techniques wouldn't work if you used biting and shit. THEY WONT. You could try and TRUST ME ive seen people try doing that to BJJ instructors and they couldn't do so much as fucking breathe.

  • um i think they were just fucking around

  • about a second later, the biting guy would have his shoulder blow out, and 5 seconds after that, he falls asleep

  • As soon as he bends his head down to bite he restricts his air flow in his throat. Trust me, he won't.

  • very nice move

  • sweet setup.

  • Good tricks, thanks for sharing :)

  • there is a kimura if u have the triangle locked in the "catch" position and you cannot get the trapped arm across your body. I never thought of that transition, the kimura set up looks good. I need a few good setups to a triagle and will be giving this one a shot. thanks for the post.

  • I'll have to try that tonight in class!

  • nice

  • awesome vid man,. i always have trouble keeping my leg around the head, that double arm grip helps alot
