Ok, I aced the phone screen and had the in person interview. I feel it went very well, especially with some tips from your videos... its been 3 days and I have not heard anything back. I sent a very nice thank you note the next morning...... my question is, should I call them or wait a little longer?
Hi Russian and American people. I make the internet from $ 100-500 (USD) per day. If you want to know how I do it. then you have to send me $ 5 (U.S.). and write a letter to me. I will send you a link to download this file. in this file you will find instructional videos and a text document in which all described in detail!
INTERESTED? Then you write the court and send $ 5 as it was reported
I'm no more qualified that anybody else in my field, but my salary is in the 95th percentile. Nobody is comfortable negotiating salary, but the way I look at it is you typically only have to do it once a year on average. If you can get an extra $1000 for ten seconds of work, that's equivalent to making $360,000/hr for that ten seconds. I'd eat toads for $360,000/hr!
Push hard, but NEVER EVER make the discussion about need. Make it about what you are worth to the shareholders! You'll win.
Thank you so much, this is absolutely excellent and is a definite must see for grads. I hear your video and I feel so much more confident now and I was compelled to express my thanks.
To BoomerNavy70's comment: it's always a good idea to talk to the recruiter about ranges before agreeing to go on an interview. You don't want to waste your or the recruiter's time, and the recruiter doesn't want to waste the company's (his/her client) time.
If there isn't a recruiter involved, then asking about ranges can be a serious mistake, even if when talking with HR. You are signaling that money is your biggest concern.
@MedSalesRecruiter Not that they necessarily hate talking about it, but they have no idea *how* to talk about it. If there's one thing we're never taught in school, it's sales and negotiation. Think about it--the entire Employee mindset is built against sales and negotiation because it tries to cling to security.
This video and chapter 7 of "What Color is Your Parachute?" are the two greatest things I've run across on negotiating salary in a job interview.
thank you darling so much. during my first round the only point where i kinda felt uncomfortable was when they asked about ma salary expectation but i still cruised through..
hi , i need some advice on my situation here , I'll be discussing my salary increase with my manager today and i want to maximize that salary increase as much as possible , can you tell me how to do that , please ?
Ask them the salary range before you go to the company or else you're wasting your time and theirs. If they can not tell you the range that means they are looking for the cheapest person they can get.
Always ask them how much they contribute to your benefits package before accepting anything. They pull this all the time. They never tell you how much the benefits cost, and then after you start you find out you have to pay 100% of the premiums.
Since I recruit mainly in medical (and most of these companies do an exceptional job on their benefit packages), I don't usually think of benefits as a main topic. As far as the salary, if you are worth more they may be willing to pay it, if you can demonstrate that value in the interview. If you don't interview, you can't demonstrate it. So, it is up to you.
I believe everyone has to wrap their mind around one important issue; you are a commodity so forget all this warm and fuzzy stuff about job interviews. If you can't show them how you can add to their bottom line rather than their overhead don't even waste your time going to the interview.
Normally in these situations you are talking about the upper 10's of thousands of dollar jobs. They are not looking for fry cooks at Waffle House.
These are like military precision drills. GO PREPARED!
Thanks for the tips, BoomerNavy70. I do not want to be their cheapest employee, or to be stuck with overly expensive benefits, so I'm glad to know that.
Question for MedSalesRecruiter: Why do they ask how much we make? Why would we tell them?
I'm watching this twice to get the deflection comments right. I never thought of this approach!
It all depends on what your base is and what they (the employer) said the pay range was...20k may not be too much if you are in the 100k range. But may be too much if you are in the 50k range. Hard to give advice on this without more detail. Good Luck.
