@FORRESTJASPER you might be wrong please refer to jews in egypt here is a part from some article written on their website "For centuries, the Jews of Egypt lived in a climate of real tolerance so much so that they came to be the richest and more stable Jewish community in the world. They were closely knit together with their own society in Egypt. As such, they did not deal with persecution crisis as it was the case of the Jews of Europe,Qattawi Pasha was became a minister of interior.
Bob Azzam & Dario Moreno, both JEWISH. All these Jews had to keep singing in arab countries hoping and praying that the arabs would let them LIVE! They sung as if their lives depended on it, and they did!
@FORRESTJASPER actually they were all living in harmony back then, they were identified as egyptians first and foremost and not jewish. i remember my family always sang praises about all those artists, they were a national treasure. but it all went downhill with the establishment of the state of israel sadly
The mu$lim$ have 57 i$lamic nation$ HOGGING UP nearly HALF the entire planet., Israel is the size of a postage stamp! mu$lim$ have 2 learn 2 let go of lands they've STOLEN & ALLOW THEM TO BE RE-PATRIOTED BY THEIR TRUE INHABITANTS-- THE JEWISH NATION !
@FORRESTJASPER Actually you are mixing religion with nationalism Some one is a Muslim or Christian Orthodox Shouldn't be automatically Egyptian other wise it will be a racist country based on religion but on the other hand being Jewish is automatically allowing you to have an Israeli Citizenship which is in my opinion very racist to have a country based on religion.
Only part I know is the arabic chorus, "Ya Mustafa ya Mustafa, ana bit habak ya Mustafa, sebah seneen fil Atareen" which means Mustafa Mustafa, I love you Mustafa, 7 years in Attareen (a place in Alexandria, Egypt)
ahahahhahaahahhahhahahahaahahhahahahahahahhahahaha this is so funny and silly haahahahahahahaahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahaahahha this guy is so hahahahhahhahaha
According to wikipedia, the original song was by sung by BOB AZZAM. Please check his other songs on youtube. He was an Egyptian jewish singer (given name Waddie George Azzam), he was born in Alexandria, Egypt on October 24 1925, and died in Monaco on July 24 2004. He began his career in Italy in the late 50s singing in Italian and English. In 1960, he released two songs in France: ya Mustafa and "Fais-moi du couscous, chérie". He witnessed a great success in France in the beginning of the 60s.
But according to ORLANDO, the brother and manager of DALIDA, Bob Azzam only made it famous world wide. but it was him who wrote it and sang it first. go to the web site of Dalida in the page of Orlando.
it´s a well-known traditional song in egypt sung by farmers, in other word its egyptian folklore.. and the one that made it a hit in the arab-world was Mohammad Fawzy who sang it first and you know wikipidia is not a trusted source becuase every one can change the info
Do you have a recording of Mohammed Fawzi singing that song to prove it?
So please don't invent things...
Go to Dalida's website... who was also born in Egypt and you'll find the picture of the record of her brother who wrote this song. Or search on youtube the Egyptian film "el hobb kedah" where Salah Zulfakar is dancing on the version of Bob Azzam.
i dont care if you beleive or not but obviously you take such sites as wikipidia as your source so i dont think you know so much about anything, are you even arab anyway i know what im talking about its an old egyptian song mixed with french words, it has been sung by a lot of ppl in both the arabworld and outside so dont come with your sites please...and again Mohammad Fawzy is the singer..

Then they immigrated to Europe and started their international musical career.
