I sure love the blue LED lights on the Signa4 fixtures, and there may be a ThyssenKrupp elevator in where you live, but you'll just need to find a place with one.
The elevator was going up. Note the down button was still lit after you pressed it. So the door closed and then activating the down call, reopened the door.
Maybe it was doing a test of the signal fixtures and doors, to make sure they were working properly, since this elevator is so new, and they want to make sure it works.
That's interesting about the nameplates, but it sure is a nice elevator. In addition, it would be interesting if they had the ThyssenKrupp logo combined with the capacity and elevator number on there, like the older Dover signs.
Thats what I mean by ThyssenKrupp merger with Dover, the new TK's have their new design while the old TK's are dovers with TK logos. Nice elevator though.
Yes, those are vandal resistant Signa4 buttons, and maybe the lantern was doing a test of the arrows and gong on the 4th floor. Also, the 5th floor is a private floor, and the parking basement is not served by the elevator.
Why is the 5th floor restricted, is it because of offices are there?

Level 4 is public office, which is open, and level 5 is private office, which is closed.

Very nice! I love the signa4 fixtures. I have never seen a Thyssenkrupp around where I live.
travelboy36 3 years ago
Yes, and not only this is one building with Signa4 vandal resistant fixtures, the South University Towers Garage was another building.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Yay! First YouTube Elevator Video with ThyssenKrupp's Vandal-Resistant Signa4 Fixtures!

Yes, 150 FPM is fast for a hydraulic, and I love the Signa4 fixtures, even the vandal resistant buttons.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
fast for hydraulic! This is the first time I have seen vandal-resistant signa4 fixtures
jack9547 3 years ago
Yes, but these are newer ThyssenKrupp elevators.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
looks like a former schindler
dea41396returns 3 years ago
Yes, those are the Vandal Resistant version of the Signa4 fixtures.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Is that Signa4?
Ih8escalators 3 years ago
Yes, but I think it will go away after a little while.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Sure does creak a lot for being brand new..
FranceHopper 3 years ago
Yes, since this is the 5-blade fan, whereas the deep "croak" sound would be from the older 3-blade fan.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
I agree, The fan sounds nice and relaxing.
harrihealey02 3 years ago
Yes, but it's not the motor, it's the fan. I like the fans for ride comfort, but they're too noisy.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
noisy elevator
momjoeann 3 years ago
I don't know why the door opened/closed on level 4, but I did go to level 4, since that was the highest I could go to.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago

Baytrail 3 years ago
That's very strange, but that's what happens when one direction cancels out when both buttons are pressed.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
how come the door opens and closes on the 4th floor?
Kira1106 3 years ago
He went to that floor.

No you pressed down and it replied after the door closed, like it does on most elevators.
lumix14 3 years ago
Yes, I did, which is pretty interesting.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
might have been a glitch in the controllers memory

Maybe so.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
why did the door open a 2nd time after u pressed 1?

How interesting.

New ThyssenKrupp series?
Different buzz too.
ElevatorMan2012 3 years ago
Thanks, since it's rare to see blue LED illumination on an elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Yeah the blue LEDs were cool.

The Signa4 fixtures have something similar. You can have a black band at the top with the T.K. Logo, car #, and capacity
thyssenelevator95 3 years ago
Yes, and I've seen it on the Signa4 Fixtures page.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
btw chris where is the new thyssenkrupp? you live near me so I can proberly go there

What fixture series are these?
Baytrail 3 years ago
These might be a vandal-resistant version of the Signa4 fixtures.
thyssenelevator95 3 years ago
i think it did that because you pressed the down button and it stayed lit up and it probaly thought someone was calling it
9862671 3 years ago
the one I filmed has the same buttons, everything else is different, what's odd is that the buzz sounds totally different than most.
