I sorta don't like the high polish blade it's like a frickin mirror.

no, not really, ive tried different ways to open it and its not easy to open any way.

just got this knife today, and my initial impression is its a little akward opening and closing it. i'm still trying to get used to it, but its actually a pretty interesting knife.

i believe only the rollock 2 is aus4.

i bought the rollock 1, and on the product description page it says aus 6m.

i got it off ebay so thats probably not a reliable description page, but i googled it and knifeworks , ironcityblades, they all list it as aus6m.

i'm a youtube noob, and can't seem to post a link sorry. i guess google it.

i think both blades are nice for edc in the city with knife laws, and i got the rollock for around 10 bucks.

ahh then its confirmed the scales are fragile, lol...I beelive the rollock II do coem in plactic handles as well as the rollock 1...I guess they woudl be the same...

I saw one of these in a shop today...I would have gotten it but he wanted $30 for it which was quite a bit more than I've seen them for places online. The mechanism was very awkward for me just messing with it in the store. He also had a few Benchmades, but the only ones with axis lock and a completely plain blade where $150+...maybe another day lol.

hey i just bought a really cool balisong 440stainless rainbow color blade and i want a rolllock2 but i wasnt sure if any one would trade for it do u think that they may be willing to??

Not sure, I woudl suggest you try the forums but there isn't much interest for cheaper balisongs on there, perhaps balisongforums?

cuz if you just push the back of the blade inwards then it unlocks. so if you put pressure on the dull side of the knife wouldnt it just unlock?

to unlock you need to puch the part on the inside of the handle, it may appear pushing the blasde unlocks it, but thats onyl because I was holding the blade when I pushed the lock, lol...puttign pressure on the back of the blade does nothgin unless yiur holding down the lock on the front...

i have a rolloc 1 now i love it and its by farr the sharpest blade i everhad. opening it is real easy , only closing is a bit hard, and i hope i can keep it as sharp as now with a ceramicrod.

And just thought I'd let you know, in my searches across eBay, I've come across at least 4 different Rollock 2's. It comes like the one you got, it's also comes with plain/smooth stainless steel handles, and also in blue and black translucent plastic handles. The main difference between the Rollock 1 and 2 is that notch in the blade you pointed out, which my guess is to make it easier to close with one hand

Thanks, yes it has been confirmed that what I have is just ONE of the models of the Rollock II...they also come in plastic scales...

haha yeah and its actually VERY safe since the blade CAN'T fold on your fingers if the lock fails...

Thanks, I like the meatl in the rollock 2 but I wish it had no design to be honest, just plain metal or even Titanium? OR, mayeb stick with colors again but anodized aluminum!

I love it, I was just wondering what did you us to get the finger prints off in this review. Also you can get the Rollock II in blue plastic scales too, for less.

Hye, actually I think the Rolock II only comes in metal, thats the difference so if you want the newer blade style you have to get a metal one, no colors...as for the fingerprints I just used the base of my t-shirt, lol, 100% cotton, lol...I am always wiping fingerprints off with my shirts but I do own cloths for that...

thanks, I close my knife with two hands so I always get finger prints on it. Also if you search rollock 2 on google some places have only plastic scales with the new blade style, so you really need to look closly to see if it is a rollock 2

I know its a rollock II, I just didnt know they made a different version with plastic scales...I think your right though, this just happens to be a metsal version of the rollock II...
