I heard this man at his best in the early years in London.He really was unbelievably talented. Nobody could match him.He had an enormous repertoire and constant work load.He achieved so much!!

Who in their right mind would have thought that this piece was written by Shostakovich?? It's one of the best cello concerto ever written! You can't possibly mix it up with Shostakovich.
