I prefer this chelsea to how we are now, back then nobody apart from arsenal and spurs fans hated us, the summer of 2003 is when everyone started to hate us, zola left to go back to italy and then the money came, no pain no gain though,

@IndianaJoel93 The Chelsea that is winning titles now and is a household name is thanks to the excellent work of the club and its' players stemming from the 90s(i reckon).

Who cares if people hate us? They don't know about our history.

We attracted top notch players (Zola, Guulit, Vialli, Desailly, Petit) and we managed to qualify for the Champions League with Ranieri which led to Abramovich buying the club.

The club definitley earned its success. I'm proud to be a fan of this club.

@serpukhovien I am proud too, dont get me wrong, but it is alot harder supporting the Chelsea of the Abramovic era than the Chelsea of the Ken Bates era, my most fond memory was when we got to the Champions League quater final in 2000 I think it was and Zola scored a stunning free kick against Barcelona when we won 3-1, and dont forget Di Matteo, when we bought him he was Italy's undisputed first choice central midfielder :D
