But that is OK! Everyone borrows from others.

  • @SeattleLA - thanks for the information.

  • @asianfanofdonny Hi You're welcome! I sure like Sweet!

  • I think that the Chinn/Chapman era, stands as the best for Sweet. It was great that they wrote their own songs eventually, but the bulk of the memorable songs and catchy lyrics belongs in the early to mid years.

  • i have this on my ipod well the album ,i blast my ears when iam cleaning the officers rooms out , iwas only 3 when this came out in 71 but 40 years later still good to listen to , my husband thinks iam mad listening to these 70s groups ,as i say that was my childhood and they were good times ,you could go out and play etc but you knew when it was tea time , please bring it all back miss it

Or atleast it ties with Fox on the Run.

*sigh* I wish I was around in the 70's to get the real thrill of Sweet.

  • My favorite song by "Sweet" is "Little Willy".

  • This is the kind of music I would perform if I were a recording artist. There is way too much serious music out there, and we need to bring back more lighthearted stuff like this. Long Live Bubblegum music.

  • SOUNDS LIKE CLASSIC PARTRIDGE FAMILY

  • The best Sweet recording. True bubblegum! Should have been an enormous hit.

  • Thanks Sarah for the comment. I like this song too. FYI, this was a big hit in Europe and Asia in the 1970's though not in America.

  • Lovee Itt My New Fav Songg!!

  • Thanks, you are welcomed!

  • been looking out for this on here for months one of my fav

  • Hi Darrenbowles, glad I can share the song here with everyone. Enjoy!

  • By the way, asianfanofdonny, why such a complicated way - vinyl-cassete-CD. Aren't there any ways to record from vinyl to digit DIRECTLY?

  • Hi, thanks for liking the song. FYI, I never had the LP. Someone recorded for me onto cassette around 1980. By 1989, the cassette was in bad shape and I had to duplicate it. To retain the high quality,he transferred it to open reel then back to cassette to clean off some noise. In 1993, the CDrecorder came out and I transferred it to CD. And it still sounded good today. Yes, if I had the LP, it would go straight from LP to CD.

  • Yeah, Chinn-Chapman were very talented hit-makers, as well as Sweet were perfect performers of their production.

  • Yeah! Just the same, havn't heard it from my youth, thank you, dear friend for posting it!

  • I know it's very different from what we're used to with the Sweet, but I think this catchy little ditty is one of their best!

  • This is one of my favorite songs Ever The sweet rule

  • have not heard this song for over 20 years! at last I found it again. brings back memories. thank you for posting.
