Sorry, first of all - I"M NOT RUSSIAN! Then - I'm historical dance teacher... Maybe there is some "historical " steps but not of medieval time period. And then, that dance doesn't reflect the main rules and conseptions of medieval dance style.
I do not apply on historical супер truthfulness. On my orientation on a stage nobody is necessary pure historical truthfulness up to the end. Therefore here also there is a part of a platform. For it would be too занудно.. And to that the husband. At анс not so it is poorly known dances historical. You did not live there and all cannot know.::)) you were not learned by masters of the Middle Ages personally??::))
Well, what I know, waltz has appeared long after a period u can call "medieval" and "Blackmore's night" live in XXI century... I heve nothing against your choreographical composition and nothing against you personnaly, but that's not good to call "historical" and " medieval" something, what is neither one nor another. It would rather be a fairytale princess' dance or something.
P.S. As I've mentioned above - I'm not russian, so some of your words used here I do not understand.
To tell the truth I any more do not know as you still to explain.. I use the translator. And it not words understands all.. To have something to change.. It is dance with elements of a modernist style and stylization, but having a historical basis more shortly.::))
annakleevs, any chance you can transfer me to some "true" medieval dances? Because I see a lot of movies here but since ballet was my only dance background I doubt I would find some actually good and most important historical correct dances that are to be from the 15th century.
@Esmerthe Truth to say, there no written exact period books for earlyer than 15c dances. There are several reconstructions of medieval dances made by famous historical dance shools. Most of them are based on fresc and paintings, or pictures from period books> Such as "Llibre vermel de Montserat". The dance of death "Ad mortem festinamus", "Stella splendens", "Cuncti simus" are from there. Group "Vento del tempo" (or something like this) has got some proper videos here on youtube...
Weii, don't mind, but the dance is looking quit nice as a personal composition of something similar to walse on the musics of Blackmore's night, but... It has nothing to do with the historical dances of medieval times... Even in style of dancing ('cause sometimes you can make your personal choreography, but it must reflect the time period, that you're triing to show.) I woldn't start this discussion, if you wold have called this for example "forest fairy dance"...
In general that there is written historical dance, a platform and a modernist style::)) there is on this instruction. And not few historical elements look внимательнее.::))
