  • Dear everyone dissing the pit,

Just stop, please. I'm performing this musical this year as a viola and this is the hardest song.It disheartens me that people are advising to shoot the violinist. If you think it's so damn bad, try it yourself first. Just stop.

    Thanks.

  • I'm genuinely upset that this pit is HORRIBLE and covered the BEST part of the song.

  • Archie is really good for a high schooler!

  • someone shoot the violinist! haha i love this, but jesus they made tuners for a reason

  • higreggg: Would you be able to kindly tell me where I could locate sheet music for this duet? I need the music URGENTLY for a performance, but can only seem to find the solo version of it! : (

Please kindly help me? Thank you!!!

  • gorgeous voices :)

  • I wish the pit weren't awful!

  • So, I definitely watched all of your Secret Garden videos before our High School Performance. I played Lily, and this really helped to get the emotion of the song before! I have a video posted, so if you checked it out and gave your opinion that would be so appreciated!

  • It's really a shame that the orchestra is so overpowering, because the singing is beautiful.

  • good voices but he just stands there at the beginning....kinda boring but good voice!

  • very good, too bad the orchestra is overriding them at the end.

  • Good performance. I played Archie in a production for a theatre group in Woodstock. Definetly a fun part and it was pulled off pretty well here. The singing is quite good.

  • I agree -- good voices, mediocre acting

  • are comments like that necessary? who cares if your classmates are going to NYU and USC?

  • How come your friends are going to NYU? Couldn't get into Julliard? Hmm... your poduction must not have been all that.

  • I'm not from the US, but doesn't Juliard cost like $30,000 a year?!

  • Its like $55,000 for a voice major same goes for a theatre major.

  • That is an unbelievable amount of money for college!!!

  • NYU has one of the best musical theatre programs in the nation have some respect :) Juilliard is more for the strictly theatre or opera people like me.

  • Juilliard doesn't have a musical theatre dept. You can major in voice (a la Audra MacDonald) or Theatre. NYU has a world-class MT dept. Agreed...have some respect. And do some research.

And, I believe, most every student who gets into Juilliard has a Juilliard-related scholarship waiting for them. Or, at least, that is the rumor.

  • It's a crapy recording, so it's picking up a lot of the other noise which is why things sound messy. I bet it sounded much better.

  • I'm going to be playing Archibald in a local production of "The Secret Garden," so seeing these videos really help me! Great job! Orchestra seems a bit too big, though.

  • Unfortunately, there are a few of Archie's notes that are a bit too low for me. So they're rewriting the music. Still sounds great, though.

  • holy crap. yall wouldda sounded a lot better if that dang orchestra was half the size it was..

  • The singing is gorgeous, but the pit orchestra sounds kinda of blasty and messy, and it covers up the singers instead of supporting them.

  • loven it. great singing.

    great acting.

  • Loves it! Definily the best "student" production I've seen done. I've directed the show, so I know it in and out. there are some lighting things I would have done, but talent....amazing. oh...lilys's hair should have been up. just for age reasons, but she was amazing, so was archie! kudos!!!

  • Wow! Intence

  • I tought the everybody did a good job. luv the back scene. Luv the vocals. and luv the songs too.

  • The vocals are completely drowned out by the orchestra. Inexcusable, considering that he has a mic. Shame on you, sound designer. Great job kids!
