Fell in love w/ S&M in between the Balance & Bad Dreams projects. Since then, there have been some gems & also some failures, usually each album containing moments of genius. I understand fully any artist's need & right to explore & expand. However, what i've seen so far in this current project is deeply disappointing. I agree w/ the B'axe fam below who are similarly dismayed by this "departure" from what we've known as the Swollen mindset & the end product of high-quality. It's not here..

The album is very contrasty, it doesn't seem to have a direction. Some songs sound mainstream, some underground, and some are b-sides that don't fit the flow. I like the album, but it seems every song with Tre is mediocre. It worries me for Swollen's future. This album really came off to me as Heavy 2. However, I saw them live two days ago and Warriors was sick live. Some of the tracks are more suited live IMO.

Not a huge fan of those autotune tracks myself. everything else was dope. oddly enough, those same autotune tracks were the most popular on itunes when I grabbed my copy, guess the youngin's love theyself autotunes.

prevail works down the road from me at baskin robins. i go down an he always gives me big tester spoons. my favorite is tiger tail. he says he likes it too. a feww days ago he gave me a tiger tail tester spoon and an old swollen members song from balance came one the radio on we both laughed. this is making me hungry for more tiger tail ice cream. imma go down to baskin robins right now and hopefully he'll still be working (he said he puts in lots of overtime to finance this album).
