as far as im concerned billy currie is one of the worlds bestest synth players i have seen him live at the apollo with ultravox and even met him in person to which he is a very nice person indeed...i have liked his playing and fantastic sounds for over 30 years..no,one i repeat no,one as far as im aware can match his performance and playing in this down trodden so called music society of this very era.....REMEMBER PEOPLE THE PAST WAS BUILT TO LAST !!!!!!!!

his sound is so distinctive isnt it?....i love the harshness & 'dolphin' type squeaks he gets outa the ARP....portemento king billy!!!
i couldnt afford the ARP in the 80's so bought a yamaha CS5,added flanger pedal & reverb....i had roughly the synth lead sound...then ...i was billy currie!!!!
