Buy pure argan oil, it's better than mixed oils with silicon. Aura Cacia, Larenim, Acure Organics have pure argan oils. I buy argan oil from iherb dot com (they ship worldwide and I live in Hungary). I have a cupon code for this site if you want order the first time: VIK284 and you have 5$ off.
It doesn't weigh your hair down and makes it very smooth and shiny. I don't use any other products anymore other than conditioner and hair masks. This specific brand is very affordable and I got better results than the expensive one. My hair is very dry and kinky, but when I put it on it's like a miracle and helps w/ the damage caused by flat ironing. GREAT!
if you buy argan oil check the ingredients. if it has silicone and a ton of other stuff then it's not pure and you might as well use Frizz-ease or some other product like that because that is what you are getting..just silicone
I bought a flat iron yesterday by the company and sally's said i could get 2 free products from their line and I got this oil and the conditioner...and wow i love all 3 things! its awesome!
@DurbanChic its probably diluted with additives.pure argan isnt that cheap because of intense labour for them to get the oil.a cheap 4 oz pure argan oil should be almost 30$ .the oil should say cold pressed oil.i never get oils unless it says coldpressed on labels or i'll contact the oil companies if it doesnt say that on labels.
There are several kinds. One is for the hair, to strengthen & protect & bring out natural darker tones in colour. The kind for skin is said to make you tan deeper& is also good for dry skin& eczema. There is another kind that is meant to be eaten, as a dressing for a salad, on toast, etc.
I watched local Berber women make Argan oil when I was in Morocco. They remove a nut-like thing from the Argan fruit & crack the shells by hand with a tiny hammer. Inside there are a few tiny kernals that they roast & then put thru a stone screwpress to extract oil.
They sell this at Sally's Beauty Supply, ladies. I hesitate from buying because the ingredients really are for your HAIR only. I like multi-purpose products so I will rather buy the oil from Janelle Beauty or Gleau. They're all natural and absorb well.
@quitejaded I buy oils (argan oil, almond oil, coconut oil) in organic stores 100% pure and natural only. You can never go wrong with the 100% natural products, and use them on your skin, hair etc. Argan oil is said to be a secret weapon against cellulite btw :)
@dinavienna Yes, but the argan oil product this girl is using is not 100% natural at all. Check the ingredients. I wish I can find an all natural oil mixture in beauty stores, but I always have to buy them online.
@quitejaded hey yes I know her product isn't natural oil.. I meant to say I personally prefer the natural oil for the reasons mentioned, sorry if it came across misleadingly :) I buy them online, too! ebay in my country to be exact. It's a pity there are no large scale chains I am aware of that sell 100% natural oils!
awesome i just ordered this yesterday, i heard it works exactly the same as moroccanoil which is soo expensive. i got mine from amazon, it qualifies for free shipping over $25!
have you ever used or heard of the argan oil with a blue/teal label? i see it all the times in the salon and was wondering if one brand is better than the other, or is it all the same? i remember my stylist using it in my hair and i was so amazed at how soft it was afterwards!! i have such thick hair as well, so it made it sooo nice : )
I just wanted to say if you have nut allergies (like me D:) then you may get an allergic reaction to this product... I had purchased it but when I had gotten home, I did a little research and found that out. (btw, you don't wanna know how they get argan oil from :P)
@kateFAIL Well to get them out of the shell... umm... they have to get it out of I think it's goat's dung. Well it's still clean and stuff I guess cause it's in the shell still while they get it. LOL But I just heard that from watching this travel show on tv so i guess you'll have to look it up :)
i like the "i'll talk to you later" part of your videos a lot more now than say 3 months ago :) not gonna go back in your video history to find out what exactly it is, but i remember thinking it was slightly annoying - not the case anymore, so well done on that =)

My ex-roommate used olive oil. I thought she was inventing the technique and that it never worked. So oil did soften her hair.

Would the oil make your hair greasy faster? I'm usually washing my hair every 2 days since I don't like to overdry it.
