@FrankRizzo6662 It's just the capture. Though, since this was run on way better hardware than the iPhone, you see such high FPS. On a 3GS, the physics samples struggle to run above 10fps with a debug build, not sure about release though.
Brilliant, I was literally just thinking about working on this exact project myself. Cocoa isn't particularly suited for making a sprite-blitting engine (though I did manage to get something running with UIImageView), so I figured I had to make my own OpenGL ES wrapper.

great but i feel the colors are desaturated and the bitmaps quality are less

The animation looks jerky and has tearing.... Is this due to fraps (or whatever recording they did), or is the cocos2d engine just slow?

That's just the person who made the animation. They didn't have many frames in the animation.
