  • He's awesome

  • Chuck Todd, who determined that Kucinich was not allowed to participate, is still in power as NBC's "Decider".

    Impeach him, too!!

  • The Campaign Update crew put together a Tribute-Review final episode of this show at:

    watch?v=gq0kIyrX03Q

    Titled

Kucinich Campaign Update 1 29 08 "All for One..."

It's a fitting sign off for the campaign with interviews, Dennis's declaration of withdrawal from the Prez race to focus on his Congressional Fight, also a funny Blooper reel and a never before released Campaign video called "The Race is on" with a motorcycle race between the Prez candidates. Dennis won our Hearts and support!

  • its just a real shame that Dennis Kucinich did not win the Democratic nomination. If only maybe he would have made the world a safer place and for once the USA wouldnt be such an arrogant and destabilising force for the world.

  • It's a shame that Kucinich got out... But you still have the choice to elect Mike Gravel who's in my opinion even better. You can play along with corrupt mass media and pick one of the 2 "CNN approved" candidates or stop buying their BS and vote for whom the US needs.

  • Best candidate in the history of America. Which means he never had a chance

  • There is a final, Tribute episode of the Kucinich Update posted on their youtube homepage

    youtube dot com/profile?user=Kucinich2008

Good stuff. A fitting video with some very powerful quotes and original footage.

    Check it out!

  • SEARCH 'NAOMI WOLF - END OF AMERICA'

Respect to you Mr. Kucinich. Atleast you tried.

  • I refuse to vote for the better of the faulty front-runners who will be on the ballot here in New York State. I know that Dennis Kucinich will be on the ballot, too, and he will be getting my vote.

  • Free media, what a joke. Fair and balanced, if it's not in their interests then it might not be in yours either right?! Absolutely disgusting. Kucinich seemed to be the most real from the heart speaking candidate. It's ashame to see him out of the race!!!!

  • I might get a negative for this, but fuck the negative people....knowledge is improtant and what better way to know than getting the info from the fans.

Around where I live the corporate media state that Kucinich is leaving the presidency. Is this true? :/ I think it's the medias' way of bs-ing the people as always, but I want to make sure.

Anyways tomorrow is Florida's' primaries. Woo hoo! Finally!

  • Juci: First of all, early voting in Florida began something like 2 weeks ago. I already voted - for Dennis. If you're in Florida, why didn't you vote early? Second: yes, Dennis is out of the race now.

  • Because it wasn't said. :P I only know it was today.

  • "Juci": Kucinich was forced out of the race by a careful coordinated attack. He was blacked out of 3 debates in a row by corporate media outlets for made up reasons (changing their published rules, uninviting him etc.) Then he came under heavy attack in his home Congressional race by big money-backed challengers, including AIPAC (Amer-Israeli PAC).

  • Thanks for replying.

But like I said if I knew it was earlier one I would've voted, but it wasn't said and I didn't see any info on it. Only for today. Thanks again and have a wonderful day. :)

  • Support Mike Gravel now! Mike Gravel will fight all this censor ship crap and will give you the power!

Dont give up! MIKE GRAVEL WONT!

    MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT!

  • The Weekly Update folks are apparently putting together a final show. I think they're not gonna have it out till after this Monday, though.

They don't have the same deadline as they did when their man was still in the race.

I think it's gonna be a good one.

  • Dennis Kucinich is creating a new focus through integritynow[dot]org

  • the world will miss YOU

    au revoir

  • The hope is not lost! To save our planet we need to bring in positive energy, thoughts & vision, until we create a resonant reaction and transform the world.

Though people are materialistic, billions wait for inspiration & encouragement to demand openly a better world in which all can be fully alive. So we must cultivate our dream, then voice & share it. Without dreamers & visionaries, we would still live in caves or on trees -- there would not be civilisation.

    Never give up!

  • Will we ever - be a democracy? Will the people ever have a government that represents people and not business, elite and special interests? Dennis was my hope - it's a sad day - and watching what Big Media has done - damn. Would like to see them dismantled piece by piece - sold off to small local owners. I've unplugged the consolidated media.

  • I'm so saddenned that he dropped out of the race.

  • I hope he leaves a "good bye and thank you" video but I miss him already. At least, I hope he is re-elected to this house seat. The country NEEDS a voice like his in congress.

  • Who to vote for now???? What decent choice remains?

  • The Christ and the Buddha

  • A deep question, indeed. No Republican will save our Planet, our Economy or our Liberties. Period. The "Minority" Dem Choices are each likely to fail against one of the good ole' boys in the GOP. Edwards stands the best chance of being the "lesser of the Evils" in this race. He has the weakest "Pro-nuke" stance and the weakest "Pseudo-GOP" stance.

  • "L B O": Anyone might make the primary nod at this point. BUT Bamma is locked to lose a general election due to his name(s). America can't vote for "Barak(Iraq)Hussein,Obama(Osama)"

Billary has ALL GOP pissed and many on the "Left", too. Edwards is the most amenable to most Americans and the closest to being an actual "Democrat". (The most true to the Dem Ideals is Kucinich)

  • I was thinking as others did, if we should form a think-tank of progressive (altruistic) politics and have a channel & group on youtube to contribute movies and discuss topics. I am not sure if Kucinich or Elizabeth has the time or will to be a part or president of it, but we could do it ourselves.

I wish if Kucinich would give up politics in a way, and become an independent activist, fighting for the entire humanity.

  • Prometheus - I'm with you. A progressive/altruistic think-take would be AWESOME. Let's do it!

  • songbird129 - thank you for your support. Lets see if those involved in this channel will do something.

  • To do what? Admire each other's Utopian vision of the future? The presidential elections are rigged from beginning to end, there's no such thing as a voting process anymore. Hope is dead. End of discussion.

  • DR sensitive, I think you are right. For a while, I was praying that Dennis would win. Now he is out. Now what? I am so sick of this country screwing itself. Dennis is out, so if I vote, I am using a sharpie and writing in big bold letters DENNIS KUCINICH! Screw everyone else on the ballot. My voice will be heard or I am leaving.

  • Hi. This is fucked up. And sad. Dennis tells the truth. Always. I am a big Kucinich supporter BUT - and as a second, amazingly enough, I recommend voting for Ron Paul. Ron Paul would have been treated the same way if it was not for all the internet donations he received.

  • Did you miss where I said the election process is rigged from beginning to end?

  • Too many fanatics

  • They secured the presidancy for the republicans again while we are concentrating on machines, paper balots , we have a woman or Black candid.not in this county, no constitution, restricted american puplic, in the name of fighting terror. now the question is: who would you side with, see it with the eyes of the outside world. Only God or Jesus or who ever the super being will save this world .God help us all. The earth is our hope, so let us KEEP HOPE.

  • I am a sad panda. :(

Dennis Kucinich is/was the absolute best candidate. A shining example of what a Democrat should be.

It makes me sad that I will not even get to cast my primary vote for him.

    wah :(

  • I will WRITE HIM IN -- The Bastards will not SILENCE ME!

THEY WILL READ MY BALLOT -- even if they choose NOT TO COUNT IT!

FUCK THE ELITES! DOWN with TYRANNY!

  • why on earth would anyone vote for somebody thats not even running? might as well right in mickey mouse.

  • Why on earth would ANYONE vote for SOMEBODY WHO IS DIRTY, CROOKED, CORRUPT, BOUGHT BY SPECIAL INTERESTS, WHO LIES TO US JUST TO GET ELECTED, and then basically gives us citizens "THE ONE FINGER SALUTE", like our CURRENT CONGRESS HAS, AFTER PROMISING A "CHANGE OF DIRECTION" IF they were elected?

VOTE YOUR HEART& CONSCIENCE -- FUCK THE CROOKS!

  • Well, isn't that a traditional corporate-media tactic, "KobyBeef"? Dennis talked at Great length about reversing the prison industrial system and removing these heinous drug laws that he sad were targeted at America's poor. Hence, your "Ron P, no one else" statement falls flat. Stop picking the bones of the dead, Pal. Leave the Kucinich sites free of your spin. You can revel that he's out. Be happy, go preach to the Romnye/McCain crowd for converts.

  • dutchoven...rock on...screw the spammers...pull up the covers on them =)

i agree with your last 2 posts no matter how many thumbs down some haters give u.

    Stay strong

  • the only real candidate in the race has quit the race which is controlled by corporate $. boycott msnbc, just don't watch the filthy whores.

  • "Koby..":

Black and white thinking got us in this mess. If the Fed Res is evil, that doesn't make free markets angels

Fed is BAAAD, yes. Unregulated corporations bring us poisonous food, water, kids toys, toxic run off, global warming, a run away prison system, a drug war and on and on. If that's all okay with you, then there's no saving us.

    Kucinich for Congress '08!

  • soorry thumbs down aren't gonna change my mind. Ron Paul is the biggest fake of them all and u people make me sick the way you circle the Kucinich camp and have the nerve to give thumbs down to his supporters for standing up with your retarded ass backwards economic doctrine of privatization and letting corporation regulate themselves.

    disgusting fascists

  • thank you again...i really can't say it enough. Even just for this video. Much love to you Democracy Now all my fellow Air Americans and Nova Mr's.

    Stay strong my fellow progressives

  • G-d Bless You Dennis Kucinich.

We Love You! Thank You For Everything You Have Done and Will Continue 2 Do.

I'm not gonna tell you people who to vote for now...i do that elsewhere. Here nothing but respect for a great man. Vote 4 The Best Candidate. We can't afford another 4 years of Republican atrocities. Much Love.

    A Strong Florida Dem

  • I was rootin' for you Kuch. =(

  • *

Btw, does anyone know exactly why he dropped out of the race?

    I'd like to know.

    thanks.

    *

  • I think it was because he lacked adequate campaign funding due to the mainstream media coverage blackout on his campaign.

Also, he was excluded from the last couple of major debates which didn't allow him to communicate his message to a wider audience.

Lastly, he's up for re-election in Ohio (as I see that you already know) and probably hasn't had enough time to devote to getting re-elected.

  • So, it looks overall like he's making the right choice to drop out of the Presidential race at this point.

  • So sorry to hear Congressman Kucinich dropped out of the race. He was a really good candidate and we'll all miss him. I wish him the best of luck in his battle to keep his congressional seat. * * * Kucinich for Congress in 2008! * * * *
  • I cannot believe he dropped out.

I am so disappointed and I feel like I did when Howard Dean dropped out. I feel like I got conned.

I am still going to vote for Dennis in the primary and write him in come November. I will never vote the lesser evil ever again.

  • My God, Dennis Kucinich is what this country needs. Finally someone with integrity. The perfect canidate, and they cast him aside. This country doesnt deserve such an honorable man and probably will get what they do deserve with the whores they are going to elect.

  • save the constitution and save the nation

    Vote Ron Paul 2008

  • The Perfect Storm

    "We the People..."

Remember, it's WE that decide. We're the masters of, not the servants to our Government. A government of the People, by the People, and for the People.

  • And once you make your (hopefully) informed decision, then you must not only decide to actually vote, you should also assist as much as you can in the campaign you choose and contribute some time, energy, and money to transform your candidate into a President.

Dennis was unsuccessful (due, at least in part, to a heavily biased sytem) and I see many loyal supporters here. But fortunately, there are still other alternatives available, like:

    Ron Paul

  • So Kucinich supporters: take heart, recollect, and learn why such a multitude of your fellow citizens have been so passionately attracted to and readily support this very unique candidate. Join us!

  • Forget it, we're not voting for Ron Paul!

  • "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -- Goethe

  • Probably...

  • "Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens' lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons." -- Ron Paul

  • I was sure that with such a vast internet, there would be a place where Gravel and Paul supporters could argue their differences. I guess this Kucinich video has found an anomolous audience amongst a couple of these differently oriented youtube viewers.

    Kucinich for Congress '08!

  • Well, Dutch, apparently you haven't been looking in the right places. The debates are everywhere - even and especially on gravel2008's channel. Many of us are interested in politics and are very well versed as to the differences and similiarities between the various candidates. I've been concentrating on the three anti-war and pro-Bill of Rights candidates.

  • Out of the three (Paul, Kucinich, Gravel), I find Paul to be the most principled and consistent in his adherence to the principles and law laid out in the Constitution -- which all three (now two) lay claim to.

Btw, I hope, in the upcoming Congressional election, that Joe Cimperman doesn't beat Kucinich. Overall, as people, I like both Kucinich and Gravel. I just happen to disagree with them both philosophically and in their economic approaches -- which I believe are errant.

  • Thank you for your input. I, too enjoy many of the positions of each of these three. However, I've found that by removing all regulation and hoping that a "free market" will auto-regulate and become a moral market, that is fantasy. With ever decreasing regulation under BushCo, we've seen Co's creating a more poisonous, dangerous world while creating vast separation between Rich and poor. That is not okay.

  • I'm amazed at the power of evil corporations. Not only do they have the power to completely remove a viable candidate or 3 or 4 from the public consciousness, but they send pimple-facedspammers out to thumbs down the positive comments on the candidate's youtube pages, now, that's desperate!

  • Gravel has been locked out just like Dennis.

John Edwards is better than the other two!

  • You're placing power over substance.

  • Power to the People!

  • Edwards, Obama, Clinton: bought and paid for by Wall Street (ya know, corporate America). Mike Gravel, NOT. Ron Paul, NOT.

    Pick one. Both are anti-war.

  • both are anti war but only one has real plans to get us off of gasoline and coal which is the Cause of the war.. and it's not Ron Paul.

  • Energy independence is a concern for both candidates. Mike Gravel's answer? Yet another damn tax (the Carbon Tax). Paul: No tax. Let consumer demand drive the FREE (not currently manipulated and controlled) market for fuel efficiency and innovation and let competition drive down the prices for electric autos, wind, solar, etc.

  • We don't need any more damn taxes! Paul will also do away with the tyrannically imposed Federal Income Tax and the agency that we all love: the Internal Revenue Service and will replace it with NOTHING.

I do believe that Mike would like to tax us all even more to death. His plans for NI4D are nothing but wishful thinking. NI4D requires 60 million signatures just to get it going! It's just a campaign teaser.

Ron Paul '08 - The Real Deal

  • not a "tax" a "carbon tax" so then since we as a nation created it then we as a nation benefit from the wealth created by it. instead of just some greedy oil boy like George Bush getting all the money. We all get a piece and it goes right back into our way of living. See how that works? its complex I know.

  • everytime I hear one of those Ron Paul mantras about "let the markets decide" i look around and want to scream "yea thats worked out real well for us so far huh". The railroads are already subsidized by your tax dollars. turn those trains into electric trains. you already pay taxes on your car. All he's talking about is a transparent tax that we will all know directly what its creating.

  • I'll say your full of shit. Ron won't drop.

  • 'Course he will.

He's not gonna get the Republican nomination, sadly, and unlike Sen. Gravel, he doesn't plan on running as an independent.

  • Ron Paul just received over $20 million in campaign contributions from THE GRASSROOTS (not corps, not PACs, nor special interests) last quarter (Oct-Dec '07). He's now approaching $3.5 million this month alone. He has massive and exponentially-increasing grassroots support across the Country. He's winning delegates and a significant percentage of the vote. He's beat out Giuliani and Thompson on the Rep side. This candidate's here to stay for the duration.

  • We'll be in a bit longer, I think.

Unlike Dr. Paul, Sen. Gravel plans on running as an Independent.

  • You mean FORMER Senator Gravel. He hasn't been in Office since 1981. As far as running as an Independent, that still takes campaign financing and grassroot's support. Unfortunately, and as we've seen, Mr. Gravel hasn't been yet able to attract that level of support necessary to a successful run. And we know the fate of non-billionaire third-party candidates like Ralph Nader in 2000. You get led out of Presidential debates in handcuffs. Good luck!

  • I hate to break it to you oldhacks, but you're not living in a free-market economy -- more like a managed-market economy. It's obvious to me that you haven't researched Paul by the sound of your comments. Paul's not talking about a "transparent tax". He's talking about goodbye FIT / goodbye IRS. Economics is what determines your prosperity. So maybe you can spend a little more time researching what Dr. Paul is offering in the areas of peace, freedom (aka liberty), and prosperity.

  • No, America is pretty laissez-faire compared with the rest of the world. But if you libertarians want the gilded age back, that's cool.

  • The free market isn't gonna fix this, because it favors short term over long-term solutions.

  • prvatizing public services was the first mistake.

giving tax money to for profit companies is the stupidest move ever made and is a huge reason why corporations run this country now.

  • Intelligent, strong, and very: Presidential, grassroots, AMERICAN! He IS the President America needs at this time!

  • That's not true and you know it.

There's still one other mainstream candidate in this race, so don't label Edwards as the 'only' real Democrat.

  • If they hadn't already done the NV caucus I would vote for Gravel. As it stands I voted for Kucinich because he was definitely the best.

  • Thanks for your support! No worries about voting for Dennis, he's Mike's number 2.

Or was, as the case may be.

  • Kucinich never got enough media attention. If the mainstream media doesn't let you play, Americans will think you're not a valid candidate. The mainstream media wants a candidate who they can play ball with. To a large extent we will be served up the 2 candidates who the mainstream media likes the most. After the Bush victories, my fear is that we will be served up the 1 candidate who the corporate media wants us to have.

  • In the 60's, the money/war/media machine wasn't as well honed and they had to rely on assassinations like JFK, Bobby MLK, X and on and on. These days, they take a voice out by other devious means. They character assassinate, obfuscate and shove out anyone with the message that BENEFITS the people and not the corps. We are Officially under a Fascist Corporatocracy. Heaven help us.

  • Well, it appears that the corporate spin and profit machine has left another skirmish the victor. With a well orchestrated disinformation plan and a complicit populous, that no longer takes time to examine the issues in clarity, Denis has been muffled in this Prez race for good. As a people, we need his continued, valiant efforts in Congress. I'm putting my efforts behind keeping his voice of sanity in office.

  • I'm so sorry to hear that Dennis has decided to withdraw. It's just going to be politics as usual in Washington. Thanks for being the true voice for change in the US!!!

  • I'm deeply sadden by fact that you dropped out. I understand the reasons because you have a heavly contested seat for congress upcoming, I hope you win and you will always have my 100% support. I don't know how a Party that agrees with you so much didn't end up voting for you. I'm leaving the Dems for the Green Party, I hope others will join too. Thank you Dennis.

  • I'm sorry Dennis was locked out of the debates. Had he been heard he'd still be a viable candidate. I understand his leaving the presidential campaign to turn attention to his seat in Congress. He's welcome to the rest of my pledged support to use in his House campaign. Good luck, Dennis. We need your voice in the House of Reaprsentatives. Marilyn

  • There are other candidates in the race, far more in line with the ideals of DK than Obama.

  • First off, there are no votes in a caucus.

  • Then what do the delagates do?

  • lol - you must be referring to Ron Paul! Yes, they're both good friends in the Congress and share many of the same ideals.

  • Btw, Dennis Kucinich announced his withdrawal from the Presidential race. He also stated that he's not supporting or endorsing any other Democratic candidate.

  • Of course.

  • Well,

It was only a matter of time and Dennis Kucinich is out of the race. He is making the official announcement on Friday morning.

There are rumors out about Elizabeth and that Viggo guy being more than friends so who knows what really is going on.

Very odd. Party is over so it's time to get behind a horse that will stay in the race.

  • Dennis you know what happened to Nikola Tesla do to greedy corporate business people ...the world almost lost to have AC that Nikola Tesala (from our former Land) invented for the world but do to greediness and corruptions they where stopping Tesla to help the world better yet they where using his ideas for laser technology missiles after all the study material was stolen from the NYC where he died.

  • Breaking News: Kucinich is dropping out of the presidential race.

  • Hopefully by next election, more people will see this type of information... But asking the people to change is not realistic. We will not go do homework unless someone pays us to do it. At least this election, people seem to care more about finding a solution oriented candidate. Too bad Kucinich dropped out... I would have voted for him... I didn't even know he was running until it was too late.

  • Who to vote for president... most people learn about the candidates through TV, a means of entertainment. Going to the internet to research about the candidates is too much proactive work for today's society.

  • I've written this before, but in case you didn't see that post ...Please consider writing a letter to the editor at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland supporting Kucinich's re-election to Congress. The city of Cleveland is trying to undermine Kucinich this time around - no doubt for the exact same reasons that big media has silenced him at the national level. Letters can be submitted via e-mail, so it just takes a couple of minutes.

  • Big Time, Dennis Kucinich for Prez!!!

  • knowledgeofall: Perhaps a lot of people are just exercising their freedom of speech. Comment ratings are a way to do that. It seems like you're the one whose comments are being marked down. After scanning through, I see you're incessantly spamming this channel with a plethora of bombastic comments. Of course, that's your freedom of speech. But other viewers may not appreciate the spam. And after all, they can always disable the comment rating feature. Is their some reason to keep it enabled?

  • Dennis is a good man, but he has no campaign financing to speak of, no delegates, little grassroots support, and absolutely no hope of winning at this point. Time to get behind someone that really knows what they're doing and is an anti-war / pro-rights candidate. That would be:

    RON PAUL in '08!

  • What I dont get is that you did not say a word when Mike Gravel was kicked out of the debates! You never asked "Hey..I dont see Mike...thats not fair"! So, how can you expect the others to ask "hey, were is Dennis"?

I like you Dennis..I really do..but you messed up when Mike was kicked out. You should have brought up censorship 2 months ago.

MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT.."lOCK, STOCK, AND BARREL"

  • i blame the media. we should never give poll results until the end of the voting process. People think that they might as well go for the top candidate. Dennis is very intelligent. I have much respect for him.

  • Ron Paul & Kucinich Dream Team 2008!!!

  • Kucinich, I will support you until the end. Peace.

  • Okay, Dennis isn't going to be elected President by this point. That much is clear. Now, let's focus on what CAN be done.

I was very disappointed that after 2004, Dennis did not start a "Kucinich Foundation of Peace", or "Kucinich Peace Institute" think tank. Just because one doesn't win the Presidency, doesn't mean they can't make an impact in other ways.

  • Hey people, wake up!!! The war industrialist & political assholes want all of us as their slaves. Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich are the only ones who are not members of the CFR. The CFR is not any part of our Govt. but they control it. The elite tell the CFR what to do. WAKE UP !!!!

  • People in this country shall never wake up. As one finds with even their closest friends, all they want to do is complain but change is off limits though they seek your advice. Dennis statements are not radical: they are pure honesty and common sense. No one can handle the truth though, cos it hurts.

  • Dennis Kucinich plans to introduce articles of Impeachment against president George Bush on January 28 2008,Same day as the state of the union address.Truth shall overcome!

  • "The President and Vice President lied and 4,000 of our soldiers died. The President and Vice President lied and a million innocent Iraqis died in a war that'll cost us two trillion dollars while people here in the states are losing their jobs, their health care, their homes, their dignity. Lies are weapons of mass destruction. Lies are also an impeachable offense. Monday, January 28th is the State of the Union. We already know the State of the Union, it's a lie."

    Thank you Dennis
