its just a real shame that Dennis Kucinich did not win the Democratic nomination. If only maybe he would have made the world a safer place and for once the USA wouldnt be such an arrogant and destabilising force for the world.

He was blacked out of 3 debates in a row by corporate media outlets for made up reasons (changing their published rules, uninviting him etc.) Then he came under heavy attack in his home Congressional race by big money-backed challengers, including AIPAC (Amer-Israeli PAC).

Where Paul opposes War, he also opposes not-for-profit Healthcare, Marriage equality, environmental protection regs, equality for Immigrants and many other of Kucinich's positions. Hence, while Dennis Kucinich and Paul are both outside the corporate MSM and oppose Iraq-upation, They differ widely on the humanities. Unfortunate reality. The people may be doomed.
The hope is not lost! To save our planet we need to bring in positive energy, thoughts & vision, until we create a resonant reaction and transform the world.

I was sure that with such a vast internet, there would be a place where Gravel and Paul supporters could argue their differences. I guess this Kucinich video has found an anomolous audience amongst a couple of these differently oriented youtube viewers.
Well, Dutch, apparently you haven't been looking in the right places. The debates are everywhere - even and especially on gravel2008's channel. Many of us are interested in politics and are very well versed as to the differences and similiarities between the various candidates. I've been concentrating on the three anti-war and pro-Bill of Rights candidates.
Out of the three (Paul, Kucinich, Gravel), I find Paul to be the most principled and consistent in his adherence to the principles and law laid out in the Constitution -- which all three (now two) lay claim to.
Btw, I hope, in the upcoming Congressional election, that Joe Cimperman doesn't beat Kucinich. Overall, as people, I like both Kucinich and Gravel. I just happen to disagree with them both philosophically and in their economic approaches -- which I believe are errant.
Thank you for your input. I, too enjoy many of the positions of each of these three. However, I've found that by removing all regulation and hoping that a "free market" will auto-regulate and become a moral market, that is fantasy. With ever decreasing regulation under BushCo, we've seen Co's creating a more poisonous, dangerous world while creating vast separation between Rich and poor. That is not okay.

Energy independence is a concern for both candidates. Mike Gravel's answer? Yet another damn tax (the Carbon Tax). Paul: No tax. Let consumer demand drive the FREE (not currently manipulated and controlled) market for fuel efficiency and innovation and let competition drive down the prices for electric autos, wind, solar, etc.
We don't need any more damn taxes! Paul will also do away with the tyrannically imposed Federal Income Tax and the agency that we all love: the Internal Revenue Service and will replace it with NOTHING.

Ron Paul just received over $20 million in campaign contributions from THE GRASSROOTS (not corps, not PACs, nor special interests) last quarter (Oct-Dec '07). He's now approaching $3.5 million this month alone. He has massive and exponentially-increasing grassroots support across the Country. He's winning delegates and a significant percentage of the vote. He's beat out Giuliani and Thompson on the Rep side. This candidate's here to stay for the duration.
You mean FORMER Senator Gravel. He hasn't been in Office since 1981. As far as running as an Independent, that still takes campaign financing and grassroot's support. Unfortunately, and as we've seen, Mr. Gravel hasn't been yet able to attract that level of support necessary to a successful run. And we know the fate of non-billionaire third-party candidates like Ralph Nader in 2000. You get led out of Presidential debates in handcuffs. Good luck!

It's obvious to me that you haven't researched Paul by the sound of your comments. Paul's not talking about a "transparent tax". He's talking about goodbye FIT / goodbye IRS. I was thinking as others did, if we should form a think-tank of progressive (altruistic) politics and have a channel & group on youtube to contribute movies and discuss topics. I am not sure if Kucinich or Elizabeth has the time or will to be a part or president of it, but we could do it ourselves.

I think it was because he lacked adequate campaign funding due to the mainstream media coverage blackout on his campaign.
Also, he was excluded from the last couple of major debates which didn't allow him to communicate his message to a wider audience.
Lastly, he's up for re-election in Ohio (as I see that you already know) and probably hasn't had enough time to devote to getting re-elected.

Many of us are interested in politics and are very well versed as to the differences and similiarities between the various candidates. I've been concentrating on the three anti-war and pro-Bill of Rights candidates.

Out of the three (Paul, Kucinich, Gravel), I find Paul to be the most principled and consistent in his adherence to the principles and law laid out in the Constitution -- which all three (now two) lay claim to.
Btw, I hope, in the upcoming Congressional election, that Joe Cimperman doesn't beat Kucinich. Overall, as people, I like both Kucinich and Gravel. I just happen to disagree with them both philosophically and in their economic approaches -- which I believe are errant.

However, I've found that by removing all regulation and hoping that a "free market" will auto-regulate and become a moral market, that is fantasy. I've written this before, but in case you didn't see that post ...Please consider writing a letter to the editor at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland supporting Kucinich's re-election to Congress. The city of Cleveland is trying to undermine Kucinich this time around - no doubt for the exact same reasons that big media has silenced him at the national level. Letters can be submitted via e-mail, so it just takes a couple of minutes.

FYI: Just a note here to all, as you all may have noticed, it seems we have some cretins coming in here and doing a, 'thumb(s)', down on many of us in here, I see not only myself but many others who had more than half a dozen or so, thumbs-up points, and now they and my self are down to 1, 0, or worse.
It is so pathetic that they can only do something like that, instead of making a wise argument, which they obviously can not.

knowledgeofall: Perhaps a lot of people are just exercising their freedom of speech. Comment ratings are a way to do that. It seems like you're the one whose comments are being marked down. After scanning through, I see you're incessantly spamming this channel with a plethora of bombastic comments. Of course, that's your freedom of speech. But other viewers may not appreciate the spam. And after all, they can always disable the comment rating feature. Is their some reason to keep it enabled?

Dennis is a good man, but he has no campaign financing to speak of, no delegates, little grassroots support, and absolutely no hope of winning at this point. Time to get behind someone that really knows what they're doing and is an anti-war / pro-rights candidate. That would be:

What I dont get is that you did not say a word when Mike Gravel was kicked out of the debates! You never asked "Hey..I dont see Mike...thats not fair"! So, how can you expect the others to ask "hey, were is Dennis"?

Okay, Dennis isn't going to be elected President by this point. That much is clear. Now, let's focus on what CAN be done.
I was very disappointed that after 2004, Dennis did not start a "Kucinich Foundation of Peace", or "Kucinich Peace Institute" think tank. Just because one doesn't win the Presidency, doesn't mean they can't make an impact in other ways.
