I freaking love you.. you are the first person who ACTUALLY HAS HOODED EYES and not just some whiny bit but a lot, like me.. and you at least have a solution for it! i love you x'D
Great job. I have a short-haired rounded crease brush. And I can run it in the crease with my head back, but I run it "high" so I'm painting the "hood" as you say. Is very quick.
I have double jeopardy! Not only do I have hooded eyes but my vision is one eye is nearly blind. I have a magnifying mmirror but still struggle to see what the hell I am doing. It's so frustrating but your trick has helped a bit. Cheers!
i'm really glad i stumbled upon your channel! i have hooded eyes as well and can never do 90%of the eye tutorials on YT because my eyes are different. this vid has been helpful! subscribed! :) i look forward to watching more of your tutorials
I love this Video. I have hooded eyes too. Not only can you see the color, but it also makes your eye look bigger and open. The other way made your eye & hood look droopy and small.
Thank you soo mutch! This actually works. I have the same problem as you: Hooded small eyes. :)
But sometimes it looks really bad when i bend my head down and look straight forward, for example when i try to do looks like this: New years sparkle makeup tutorial
THANK YOU! :) This is very helpful. It's so difficult to find decent tutorials by girls who actually have hooded eyes so that I can see where the shadows should go. You did a great job of making it simple and easy to understand.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou !!! I have the exact same eyes as you !! Hooded and close set . Loved loved loved !! Your vid very helpful . I am now a sub for as long as you keep making vids...please make more tutorials for hooded eyes .
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Ive always watched makeup tutorials and it never looks good! Your video was PERFECT for me. I will now be subscribed your channel! Keep bringing hooded eye makeup tutorials!!!!
thanks SO SO MUCH for this vid, I have hooded eyes and recently I've found it nearly impossible to match up each eye. I just tried the eyelash curler trick and Hey Presto!!! they both match, genius x
i have exactley the same amount of hooded eyes as you... my rigt eye is more hooded than my lift *sigh*, but i found that the MAC 222 blending brush works great for hooded eyes, because of the tapered dome :D
Thanks so much for your tutorial!!! My hooded eyes drive me crazy and it's so frustrating seeing great eye shadow styles that don't work on me because of my eyes.
And it's so true that the only way to show traditional styles is by looking surprised all day lol!
Thank you ... I have been trying that and I guess I just need more practice lol but the tip with the eyelash curler seems like it might help ALOT can't wait to try it !! I know your work schedule is crazy but any new videos in the making ?
I have the same problem you do !!!!! I have one eye more hooded than the other and I have found that trying to get them to look the same is impossible any tricks on that?
@mrsdm119 The only advice I can give is to make sure when your doing the crease color that they look the same on both sides when your face is relaxed, so if one is more hooded than the other to make them the same height one technically may go up higher on your eye but since its more hooded than the other it wont look like it. If that makes sense at all. Unfortunately if one is way more hooded than the other (like one covers the lid completely and the other doesnt) there isnt much you can do.
omgosh!! Thanks for posting this! I have always gotten discouraged over my hooded lids when it came to eye makeup. I do everything they would say and once I relaxed my eyes, you could never see anything except my bottom if I did that and my eyelashes! You have saved me from going a drastic route of having surgery which i have been really considering just because of this problem alone. You are God sent thanks again!
@Heavenskizzes Oh my gosh!!! I'm so glad I could help you out and save you from spending all that money for surgery. But yeah I totally know what you mean about the relaxing the eye and not being able to see the shadows anymore!!
that was really helpful, thanks! i have a hooded eye too and it's given me a lot of trouble trying to follow tutorials! i've seen tutorials on how to do a cut crease but your method is a lot easier to grasp.
@tierrasimbolica Yeah I had the same problem! I would watch a lot of tutorials on how to do eye makeup for hooded eyes and to be honest a lot of them seemed exactly the same as the traditional way and most of the videos the people that were doing them didn't even have hooded eyes! Thanks for watching and I'm glad it helped!!
You are hysterical AND helpful!!:)
