they are not strange, they are lifting thier spirit naturally.

The way they live is closer to nature, and thus is less strange than what the people of the city do

i would rather be seen doing the monkey chant with them, than getting drunk.

They are in a good way a sign, that you can take the people out of the jungle, but that jungle will remain somewhere in the people.
