  • Newport has always been a great beach to lay out and swim. The water is warm in July, August. Just a great beach to hang; all the shops and food right off the beach. Always been my favorite. I tried hanging at Huntington, but just not as good.

  • nice surf, but just a suggestion, you could add some music to replace the unpleasant wind sound that the camera recorded.

  • i almost don't believe that's Newport ... SUPER flat that day

  • This was home for me - left at age 9. My great grandfather lived w/ in walking distance to the beach and the funzone. We would park at their house and walk across the street all the time. Now I'm in GA and have 5-6 hr drive to get to a beach :(

  • Well, g'day, mate. I live in Brisbane and I came to Los Angeles for vacation/business trip and we went to Laguna Beach for the day. Amazing trip. Second was when we drove to Melbourne. Now that was one hell of a trip.

  • looks beautiful..i dream of going there one day.

  • where did you take the video? My house is on Kings Rd overlooking the harbor

  • It was around 13th street, possibly a bit more south (on the ocean side, not the harbor side, but that's obvious!).

  • those waves are tiny

  • Yes, the largest was about 3 feet. Windy day, but relatively calm waves.
