  • u are cute.

  • HOW BOUT 3/8

  • When you were showing us the 12/8... Did you show us 2 ways of doing it or the first one was a mistake?

  • Conduct 12/8 the same as 4/4...its easier.

  • @jeremydkirby not if its slow

  • @dontevenstartme I find it the same..you just have to be very specific with the down beats.

  • Most of these meters are in fast tempos so you would be killing yourself to conduct each beat. That is why 3/8 is usually in 1, 6/8 in 2, 9/8 in 3, and 12/8 in 4. It gives each of them a triplet feel and makes it easier for the conductor.

  • I disagree with her 6/8 completely. If I was watching her and her hands came up I would mistake it for the last beat.

  • This is very good except I prefer the figure 8 instead of the oval for the one pattern. The people at expert villageshould just refer to this site. Well done...!

  • a bit more of a challenge but thank you very much for this

  • Hi Michelle,

Thanks so much for taking the time to make and share your videos. I've enjoyed classical music for many years but have always wondered about how it's conductor. Thanks again. Very informative and enjoyable. Davan. Perth Western Australia
