i have similar problems, if i loose service 70% of the time i do not get it back along with internet. i have t-mobile and i have to put my sim card back into my old phone and turn it on and go to t,zones to reload internet. and then u put it back into your iphone and, you get service back. sometimes it takes a few minuets to re register service, but it should coma back on
