You can be a leader of a movement or such but it requires a lot of charisma to be an effective leader. Without that, the whole thing will die before it even gets off the ground. Leaderless often means hap-hazard because everything requires organisation to make it work well.

The Problem isn't Wall Street, it's the vessel that gives them the ability to do what they do. That is Our government ! The 99% are angry because when Wall Street screws up, the government bails them out. While if an individual screws up, the government is no where to be found and that is just not right. As long as special interest groups are allowed to pump tons of money into our political system, this will always be a problem. GET MONEY OUT of politics is a step in the right direction.
I never really payed attention to this issue, but after hearing what you were explaining, sounds like a pretty big issue. Who are these people saying that this protest is meaningless, sounds like it has a meaning, people are in need of more money.
the reality is that anyone in the 99% would trade places with someone from the 1%.
You have to realize that if the 99 percent just simply stop taking out loans, stop buying things, and stop renting stuff from the 1 percent, the one percent would become just another percent of the ninety nine percent.. and we would all be one hundred percent.
Fox news is there because they have viewers, apple is there because they have customers, the bank is there because they have borrowers..
@madnessdexter Maybe you're not oppressed per say but I would like to bet you have been debilitated in some way. For example the hike of gas price in the last few years would be an example :)
I am in the 99% yet I dont feel like I am oppressed by the 1%. Frankly I doubt many could support their claim that they are being oppressed. I saw a video with this black guy screaming how the bank took his parents $500K home. Well first off he lived in a $500K home so he has nothing to complain about. Secondly maybe his parents should have paid their mortgage or bought within their financial means, Also I see all the protesters have iPhones. Think about that for a minute.
(cont) I am not familar with Canadian government so therefore I won't comment on what her country is doing but as for my own I feel if the governmental policies were fixed (ie let GM fall and all others fall if they cannot compete) and let the market fix itself it WILL take time but it can be done if the government had a hands off approach to failing businesses
(cont due to character restrants) Why then do we not occupy Washington (or in Cupcake's case Onterio) and essentially tell the people who we pay taxes to that we are not pleased with the over all result of the system at large. Furthermore, It is the government not Wall Street who have been funding two over seas wars for a decade or more. That is a trillion dollars or so going to a war with no clear solution (what are we the American people getting out of these wars?)
My problem with the occupy Wall St movement is my basic belief that the "1%" of the poulation is the most hard working in this regard: They have the drive and will to go to school go to college get a job work at that job and/or work on a concept that others do not think will work (i.e Steve Jobs Mark Cuban and Bill Gates) now we complain that they "have all the money" and yet who bailed out GM and other companies who failed? the US government.
just what I thought. the movement is just as meaningless and stupid as you are.
