When I posted this video, I figured I would leave it up to people to use their own intelligence when watching this video, and let them decide for themselves wether it was the right video they wanted to see.
I put plenty of clues in the video to show that its a Simulation, yet people expect something else. I don't know about them, but whenever I search, there are lots of videos that dont match what I want. I dont rant about it. :)
Nice work. I just got the G5 sim and spent my first full day using it. The Harrier is my favorite plane because I can practice the plane (jet) flying and basic helicopter controls at the same time. LOL. How long did it take you to get to this point? (this good?)
@SanDiegoHotRod Thanks for your compliments. The Harrier is one of my Favorite models in realflight. It does require a lot of practice to fly it smoothly ( which I can do a lot better now ). I couldnt really put a time-frame on how long it took me to learn how to fly it because I am still learning every day and its about 3 years later. :D

@molceonly Don't be too quick to judge mate. My video may not represent it very well, but I can assure you that the Thrust vectoring Nozzle's Do in fact Rotate to Verticle when you are in VTOL mode flight. I have not done this model much Justice in this video as it really is very high detailed and fun to fly if you can handle it.
The PC I used to record this video was not as high powered as I would have liked and I had to rediuce some of the visual detail to record a smooth video.

@brent52 Thanks. I really like that field it gives you a great sense of realizm. It just ashame I never made the video with a higher resolution or some better flying. @hehe691 Clearly, but then again, he put the link for the software he's using right on the video... actually looks really good for r/c simulation. Most R/C pilots use this sort of thing to practice on, since crashing is a costly accident.
@DFX2KX Thankyou for hitting the nail on the head DFX2KX. I did not include that information in the Description of my video because I believed it was self-explanitory. Obviously I am going to have to do something about that because at least 1 person a week accuse's me of being misleading. All I can say, is how often do you see "Replay Controls " in the Top Left hand corner of your vision while flying ? Not to mention The Logo for the program I use.
@Spasticatedtoad you mean random windows messages floating out in space, clearly from the look of the folks here, that's a fairly common condition, though I'm going to have a look at this program, I wasn't really that fond of clearview, this seems like something a little different. I'll actually note that used software like this when I had a beginner's plane, heck, still use software, since I haven't replaced that one when I crashed it.
@kaylaks Most certainly. I have seen it for myself at many Airshows. It's a bit cheesey, but they "Take a Bow" at the end of their Routine and while hovering on the spot, they drop the nose down by at least 15 degrees. Although, I wouldn't recommend doing it as I did without a good "Poop-suit".
Overall... Great vid! I love the Joe Satriani and your a good harrier pilot. I am a heli pilot but of course I mess around with the planes and im in the looks for a nice plane right now anyways. Tell me, how do you ease the ballooning when you go from forward thrust to hover thrust?? My nose always wants to go up bad when I try the transition. I fly G5 and I also wanna know where you got those color schemes.. plz!
Nice music! I listen to Satriani when flying my G3 Harrier. as soon as I figure out how to u-tube my recordings I show vertical launch pulling backwards flight to invert just above the ground, doubt if anyone would risk a model let alone the real thing,but it will do it! T.
OMG! Keyboard Controls ??? That must be so hard. Personally, I think the Interlink Elite is great. Not quite as durable as I had hoped, but man, it's got to be easier than Keyboard control. :)
Thanks Wonderouswatchmen I love this Simulator a lot. You can find Realflight G4.5 ( or the Latest Version Realflight G5 ) at your local Hobby Store. As far as simulators are concerned, I believe that Realflight is the Best you can get. Please forgive the bluntness of my **NOTE**. These comments were not made in anger or spite, but passion for flying, and for such a great Simulator, that I feel is being undervalued for it's assets by the people most likely to be able to do something about it.
Until i see something Positive on this issue, that change's my mind without doubt, the *NOTE** remains. But it can disappear as quickly as it came, and be replaced with an apology.
Yes G4.5 is $200. But if you compare that to the many thousands of dollars you can spend on an RC model, it is very cheap to Practice you flying without risking your model. Great for learning new moves with your own model. Or try other models that you wouold like to own. Or just plain Have fun :) Realflight gives you freedom!
This video was made using 2 Software package's. Both are ( as far as I am concerned ) the Best of what is available. The Gameplay footage was recorded using Beepa Fraps and the Final assembly was done with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro 9. If you use these 2 programs, you can't go wrong.

Hi Bigandnative. Yes this is an RC simulator. Included in the simulator is a Usb Tranmitter that is based on an 8 channel Futaba Transmitter.
