  • @Chombies Yeah, I don't think that man could have done anything at the point, but if anything, that parents would've been sued, but I highly doubt they got sued either. And yes, I'm glad she is alive too!

  • damn 80- early 90's hair and glasses

    haha

  • That is why it is hard to watch children no matter what age they are because their curiosity can get the better of them like we saw in this clip.

  • Part 1 has low sound even with volume control at max

  • It's not the person's fault that hit them, he probably didnt have a chance to stop, the kids shouldnt have came out into the middle of the road like that.

  • rate this thumbs up if you think that it should be required by law to know basic CPR

  • roll bars!!

  • I've never heard of this show but then I watched an episode and now I've seen everyone on youtube .Thank you even if you don't upload all we know your trying.

  • not one person called 9-1-1

  • i now work at station 12 in Gwinnett

  • @Chombies i don't think so, since it wasn't his fault.

  • It's amazing that she survived an internal decapitation. It's even more amazing that she was not paralyzed.

  • GWINNETT COUNTY FIRE STATION 12!!!!!!! The Station im at now! Greg Long SAVES LIVES!!! :D

  • Remember kids, Mario Kart is sick and unhealthy.

  • @Chombies Can't see the driver of the truck being sue wasn't his fault was a unavoidable accident.

  • @Chombies wasnt his fault he hit those girls, they just came flying out of no where

  • well move the truck

  • how come they didnt do anything to the other girl?

  • worst brakes I have ever seen

  • At First I Was Gonna Ask "Why Did The Man Run Over Them?"

Until I Saw This Part, I Was Like "Ohhhh So The Kids Or The Man Didn't Stop In Time" Hmm

  • wouldnt her tong have fallen back into her throat wile she was unconcious?

  • so was his instinct right in not putting the collar on, would that have been an issue in regards to her injury

  • well it probably could of been worse if they were not wearing any helmets

  • @Chombies well, its not his fault.

  • why isn't there sound?

  • this is why we have laws about streets where are the parents no parents making sure noting happened

  • No wonder go-karts are never safe. I have a go-kart.

  • your all so funny my moms angie.she was very injuired for all of you that think she just got bumps and briuses think again.you guys know nothing except that other girl had to the hospital so did my mom for 2 months so just think before you say things that you dont even know a thing about!!!

  • I spent 2 months in the hosiptal with broken bones

  • I feel sorry for the driver, when little tiny objects just ram out from the side of the road at you and you have to stop. Poor guy. He cared though

  • Lucky thing that both girls were wearing their helmets when they were riding that go-cart because if they hadn't, both of them would have probably died if that pickup had hit them.

  • 8:03 now since the accident she has developed epilepsy. I can't figure out why.

  • no one even rides go karts anymore, that one girl who didnt want to go shouldtn

  • Nice truck. A Chevy Blazer.

  • I Think There're should've been seatbelts in the go-cart, so if anything like this happened again, then those two girls would've been safe.

  • horrible accident

  • What kind of parents allow an 11-year-old to ride a go-kart without parental supervision? Parents that should be thrown in jail for child endangerment!

  • i had a friend that got her skull seperate from her neck and they said she was incredibly lucky that she even lived or didnt even become parylized.

  • @Rachiann, Ouch that's got to hurt.

  • they were being idiots or at least the driver nwas because you never ever ever go riding or sledding down a hill when there are powerlines or another road because if there is powerlines there is another road i learned that lesson one day when i was sledding i was almost hit by a car

  • So you were being an idiot too then? There were only children.

  • @rambojuliuscaesar, Those kids should've stopped that go-cart and looked both ways to see if any cars or trucks is coming. they should've used their heads.

  • I was much smarter then that at 11.

  • @alexmini123, OMG.

  • was the other little girl ok??

  • ask me a road is a death trap for kids (as in this video)

  • "The numer one rule is not to move the victim"

The number one rule is to make sure they are breathing. Theres no point in making an effort in not making them paralyzed if they are dead from lack of oxygen. Recall her license as a nurse.

  • Recall her next sentence....she said exactly that....no point in not moving as long as the patient isn't moving air.

  • @ifurita81 well after they make sure they're visible vitals are fine.. never ever move someone who was been in a vehicular accident if they are knocked out. I was in an accident in January & we weren't allowed to move if our necks or backs hurt or if it hurt to breathe.. all five of walked away, safe.Only me & my 11 yr old cousin were slightly hurt, i had a busted lip from hitting the seat in front of me/a bruised leg & he had a sore stomach from his seat belt & he hit his eye on a car seat

  • @ifurita81 Oh? And where's YOUR license as a nurse?

  • a street is not a play area. A street is for the travil of motor vehicals that can legaly drive on public roads, vehicals that have tags and are registered. any parent with any kind of common sence would not let there child play in the street to any degree. IMO the parent is the one at fault and should have been charged.

  • @blackjack427r your mean i am 13 and i drove a fake barbie jeep when i was 4-9 so and i went the road soo what ......

  • what about the other girl?? she was still in the go-kart! what did they do for her??

  • the other girl was fine and didnt need help

  • She wasn't injured. She had a few bruises and scratches from the other girl but that's it.

  • I would have to say 2 months in the hosiptal was not because of a few bumps and bruises!!!! I had a few broken bones!!! this is a show about people almost dying and i was breathing so before you assume something please don't speak for me!!! thank you

  • I spent 2 months in the hosiptal thank you !!!!!!!

  • It's a pretty good show. I wish it's on DVD.

  • My favorite one!

  • Anyone had colored underwear on during the emergency? I'm sure its not unheard of to have colored underwear on as It calms the person lol.

  • did they ever take care of the girl that was still in the go-kart??

  • Can't hear it too well :/

  • hey what did they do with the truck driver that hit the girls in the go-kart?

  • nothing couse there was he didn't anything crimely he tried to stop so he didn't hit the girls he hit them by accident

  • wow-what a trooper :)

  • What kind of fucking retard rides a go cart in the road like that?

  • Who let's kid's drive go kart's on puplic roads?!?

  • This was back in the 90s

  • "GET TO THE CHOPPA!" :P srry about that

  • call 911 1st call mother after

  • What about the other girl?

  • She was fine

  • how come nobody cared about the other girl????

  • MOst likely beacuse the other girl was more concsious and aware and the girl in the middle of the truck and her friend was not breathing.. I hope this helps. It is just a guess.

  • i know right but probably cuz that other girl was unconsious and ya.But should like have said like are u ok or something .

  • The care of multiple patients is managed according to a Triage System, which ranges from high to low priority. Higher priorities are treated before lower ones.

The girl everybody appeared to be ignoring was conscious and not in immediate danger of becoming unstable, so her priority was lower than that of her friend, who was in critical condition.

In reality the EMTs didn't ignore the other girl. Their assessment of her just wasn't reenacted here.

  • Hey, kids are watching this, watch your mouth.

  • hey i was just stating a fact!

  • No, you were being rude.

  • Part 1.

  • Sorry I meant to say why this kid did " not " get a C-Collar ?

  • Probably because a C-Collar would have put pressure directly on the spinal cord, paralyzing the patient from the neck down.

There would have been a space in her neck that wasn't 'armored' by the spinal bones. Application of the collar may even have killed her.

I've never seen a patient with a separation between the skull and C-1 (the first cervical bone.) Damage to that area usually kills one pretty fast.

The girl is truly a miracle patient.

  • I know all these paramedics and EMT's know what their doing thats for sure but it all seems like textbook training - do this or that in this particular situation and so I really wonder what that medic decided for whatever reason to package this kid with a C-Collar ? He made the right call but man I'd think every single person would get one whos in an accident so why not this particular kid ? I guess that is one neat little voice he's got cause he was right !

  • I'm a Paramedic.

That 'little voice' arises from several on-duty experiences, which teach you to look beyond the surface of a patient's symptoms & rule out more serious problems.

I saw a situation off-duty that appeared to be intoxication but was actually the patient's kidneys shutting down.

She looked drunk b/c of her actions, but I hadn't ever treated a drunk that moved quite like that. I distrusted the initial thought and insisted that my friend call 911.

To this day I'm glad I did.

  • I'm an EMT-Basic, the little voice comes from what I call the personal slide show. You take note of things that happen in the past adding them to the pictures in your slide show, later on you can be at a scene and that little voice will tell you if that scene is in your slide show and what you need to do about it. I have a voice inside my head every call I go to, call me crazy but I like it there and I like knowing that I've dealt with something like this before making it easier to handle now.

  • one lucky girl wow

  • the girl should scared the guy

  • This show scared me as a kid!

  • very pretty girls there, probably a knock outs now.

  • the guy tried to avoid em, but it was an accident cause the girls came out of nowhere. u cant blame anyone here.

  • I started getting those feelings that the Paramedic called "the little voices" during my seventh year of being a Paramedic.

I've always listened to them too, because they were too intense to ignore.

  • it was accident it nobody fault he didn't mean to crash into them . well the with the red shrit is Angie. so she is the one who got hurt but her friend didn't.

  • how come noone was worrying about the other girl

she could have had a broken bone or something

  • coz a broken bone isnt as bad as no pulse -.-

  • yer she didn't have a pulse and she needed more attention but she could have had a concussion

  • I think someone off to the side maybe tended to her but the main focus was the girl who wasn't breathing.

  • lol what the fuck the kids where study to drive on a road with motor vehiculs they basically true them self into moving traffic

serious no stupid question just stupid people *U(

  • The Guy is Fucking Prick And Should Rot In Prison

  • lol are u stupid? how is it the guys fault

the white girl on in the car is a dumb ass for driving down a hill ontop a fucking road wid moving vehiculs did the guy plong to hit them? jesus stupid people i tell u

  • they are only little though

  • very true

  • No it wasn;t the driver's fault, they came out of nowhere all of a sudden. He was not at fault.

  • i never sayd it was the drivers fault i sayd it was the kids who randomly POP out of no where! what is a guy support to do he doing the speed limit stopping at a instant moment is close to impossible!

  • Trista is an amazing girl! The man barley had time to react! Let's stay off cell phones while driving people! Or this might happen to you!

  • Whats the video called that comes up next?

  • "Ando the Dog" It's not on youtube.

  • Doubt it. It looked like it was pretty unavoidable on his part.

  • Also driving a go-kart on the road would count you as a vehicle assuming it wasn't illegal to begin with.

So traffic laws apply, as they do with bicycles, and hitting a go-kart that was driving across the road like the girls did would be no different, legally, then if it was a full-size car.

So the guy driving the truck wouldn't be legally liable for a lawsuit, only if he tried to flee the scene could he then be found guilty of anything.

  • its not like the dude was running em down. it would make any sense to sue him.

  • @ringosteve21 The girl admitted they were screwing around on the hill, so any lawsuits they would try would be overturned

  • الحمد للة على السلامة واللة يهديكم.

  • thank god they were wearing helments,or they were going to be screwed!

  • 1:44

that lady opens her eyes all the way!

smart dad for timing the 4 minutes!

  • this is why young kids shouldnt drive go karts!

  • I think it's okay for kids that age to drive go karts, but they shouldn't drive them in the road.

  • i agree with you

  • @allgood2000 I don't like go karts and I never will!!

  • @allgood2000 Well they can but NEVER EVER EVER go on a bump that leads to the road

  • @allgood2000 same with an ATV except you would have to be at least 16

  • Comment removed

  • @allgood2000 ur right im 9 and i have a more dangoures type of gokart

  • @allgood2000 i live in a safe neighborhood and its okay to drive go-carts on the street but i dont have one but we have a golf cart

  • @allgood2000 same with an ATV

  • How right you are.

  • wtf she better break first then look back

  • Thank god they lived and didnt die, thats a danger of riding a go-kart, run the risk of ppl not seeing u in time. Ill never let my kids get on a go-kart after seeing this

  • Her head was pulled loose from her neck?! Whoa!

  • Yeah, its called internal decapitation. I am really surprised that she survived an injury like that.

  • How old was she??

  • Trista? She was eleven. Not sure how old the other girl was, though - probably around the same age.

  • Probally about Ten

  • 7 YEARS OLD.

  • wow!!

  • at least they wore helmets... though they should have paid better attention to what they were doing!

  • little kids aren't very consious of the world around them especially back in the 80's

  • Yeah kids think they are ivincible and nothing bad can ever happen to them. It's the innocence of childhood all kids think like that. As they ature they learn the world is not that simple.

  • my boyfriends brother is currently in a halo

  • If I ever have kids, I would always say I wouldnt let me kids roam the streets and go that far, especially at such a young age without an adult, bc you never know what will happen. This accident was 1 in a million, and so was Trista the survivor.

  • now you and me know not to do this, these videos make my legs feel stiff

  • i really wish they would bring this back like i know that u can watch it on zone but like i want to c some new episodes

  • body cast? ouch!

  • Hmmm....6:05

  • What abot it?

  • I was wondering the same thing. Nothing really out of the ordinary, especially for Rescue 911, was happening at that point, nor was Shatner saying anything unusual. Would you mind explaining a little further, PS?

  • What happened to the other girl? no one even looked at her :S

  • I guess she was fine, since it showed her being interviewed at the beginning of the segment.

  • oh right never noticed that lol

  • It's in Part 1 of the video. That's a different clip from this one.

  • okie dokie thanks x

  • was the other girl hurt?

  • yeh thats what i was wondering!

  • teehee... there was rain on the camera

  • wow.........

  • In addition it is probably persons like you who hinder the response of emergency medical and fire service vehicles by not yielding the right of way as required by state laws. In addition if this was a volunteer company the time for a volunteer firefighter to respond to the station must be taken into consideration.

    Firefighter/EMT Black

  • hey travelplus 1 are you in the emergency services? Cause even if your not any idiot would know that not everyone lives near the fire/ambulance station!! The nearest stations are called and they have response criteria i.e.(times, staff requirements) so pull you head out of the clouds you idiot.

    Firefighter/EMT Black

  • Hey lordsabbath93, how could you say such a thing!- Accadently going forward and saying that it's really funny! You aren't nice at all!

  • *tries to back up truck accidentaly goes forward*

  • Why didn't the EMT come right away it sure takes a long time and that no one was on the phone with 911 so they can know and provide help.

  • ...its a re-enactment, im sure things didn't go just like that

  • Lets go call 911

  • back the truck up dumbasses

  • imagine if they werent wearing there helmets!

  • for god sakes finillay sum 1 agrees along wit me helmets do save lives but also wtf lol dude sum 1 call 911 i mean really..

  • If a patient has a spinal injury, they shouldnt be moved for fear of further injury, However a rule that always trumps that, is life over limb! they should have established an airway way sooner, A paralized person is better than a dead person with a perfect spine

  • true

  • The girl playing Krista looks like one of the Olsen twins when they were younger...

  • Actually, it's Trista. But yeah, she does kinda.

  • is she cross eyed now

  • hahahahaha funny

  • shut up its not funny! i laugh at you if u were hit by a truck so dont laugh at them

  • sorry i didnt mean to give u a thumbs down that was meant to be for Lordsabbath :( sorry

  • Good thing they were wearing their helmets!

  • thats freaky, i basicly did the same thing with a snowmobile, the guy ran over the sled i was pullin around, he must have been doing at least 60kmph

  • wow what a moron! everyone knows that if someone is impaled or pinned by something, the last thing u do is move it!

    <
