I'm so grateful for your video. I used to tatting when I was a little girl but I forgot. You make me recall at least how to make the knots. Hahaha I'm going to do some of those knots . Thank you for your time even you was sniffing hahaha you are so funny
This is lovely... I just realized I'm sniffling the whole time, and I have sausage fingers! LOL And I'm surprised I kept it PC and said 'fuss with' not my usually choice in terms ;)
@squeekypearl Yes. what i'm working on just won't flip or slide at all. Even when I manage to somehow coercer the string into flipping, i still can't get it to slide
@embalmerboy88 that's a really common problem when learning, used to happen to me all the time. Without being able to see what you're doing though I don't know if I can explain it well enough. I used to pull the knot thread tight first without making sure I had enough tension on the shuttle thread and I'd get stuck.
@embalmerboy88 I'm pretty sure you figured it out by now but what helped me was when I did the stitch and before I pulled it tight, to get the flip I left my left hand loose and the shuttle hand pulled taught and then slowly brought tension back to my left hand and the stich flipped. I hope this helps as well!
This is a great how to video. You have patience and dont rush through. Thanks to you (and your grandma) Im learning to tat!!

This was a great introduction to tatting. I didn't know what it was or how it was done. This is perfect, easy to understand and clear. Thanks.

@embalmerboy88 Do you mean getting the half knots onto the thread so they slide back and forth?
