The SOPA and PIPA Acts will be put into vote on January 24, 2012. Can you post days 10-12 of Tip-mas before that day so that everyone will see them no matter what?
@ShotScience hey coach I am a ok free throw shooter I can drive in I can shoot the the jumpshot but I can't shoot three's because I don't have a good form what should I do?
hey i showed your channel to my friend an he watched your video for while and he's a junior in high school he never made the team before but he got SOOOO much better and made the team for the first time and thanks to you today is my basketball tryout and i'm taking your advise maybe i can make it too and im in 7th trying out for a 8th grade travel team
But when I take a normal jumpshot or 3-pointer, I use some of my legs, but mostly all my hands. Wait I take that back, I use my legs. I feel it messes up my stance if I bend and use my legs without jumping?
@PianoByEar1110 You have to consciously make an effort to use your legs until it becomes second nature. You've practiced your shot using mostly upper body strength that's why it feels that way.
Should you make your arm muscles stronger when you free throw? I find it hard because I use all my hand muscles instead of my legs because I can't jump while doing it freethrow, it looks weird.. So how can I perfect a freethrow without jumping? everytime I don't jump, its an airball and it takes a lot of strength for me to actually get it in... Any advice?
@PianoByEar1110 Yes!! The real power comes from your legs and you really do not have to jump for the FT. See our video "MAKE THE 3 POINTER!!! Get your legs into It! This explain how and why you need the leg power and how to use it.
Hey coach! It has been a pleasure following your tips...they made me improve more.
About the freethrows..why when I shoot a freethrow I get some good shots and bad shots at the same time,I really need to perfect my freethrow shooting...I was wondering what could be the greatest secret to making a freethrow? ~THANK YOU~
@YugiohGamer645 It sounds like you're not doing the same thing every time you shoot a free throw. Are your feet in the same position every time? Are you using your legs every time? Are you shoulders squared up to the rim the every time? Freeze your arms after each shoot for two reasons: 1. It will force you to follow through, and 2. If the ball goes left or right, you could see if it's because of your angle.
@joejamokha We don't agree with joe on his suggestions totally. First≤ never "Square up your shoulders to the Basket!" We recommend that you have the shooting foot forward and staggered with the off- foot and the shoulder turned slightly in the same direction. This aligns the basketball with the "Eye-Ball-Target" instead of shooting it off your shoulder. We do get the Freeze idea unless you are talking about holding your finish on the shot with the arm fully extended.
@Stealth955 Most of these guys are very mature men who have really powerful arms and upper bodies. Even so ,there are quite a few who need to use more legs, but they do not need to jump.
hey guys can you make a video on tips for undersized players(like 5"3 or 5"6). I'm pretty short(5"3) and I'm not sure on what my play style should be...
I needed this my team doesn't trust my freethrows they say I shoot to high or arch too much when I just throw it or shoot without the like arch or follow thru Idk any help?
hey coach I noticed that if I focus on the nest because that's the place I want it to go and just let my self go into rhythm I make my shots in stead of worrying if i'm doing something wrong
I've run track all my life, so I didn't have ANY co-ordination with the basketball as of last year. Combining these tips with a lot of practice, I can now dunk from near the free throw line. Yay for Shot Science...and athleticism
hey shotscience, when your at the free thrown line does it help when you have a routine when you step up to the foul line like taking certain amount of driblles?
@therealdeal3161 try to keep your routine short. Do a couple dribbles a spin or whatever it is that makes you loose. Try to keep it short so you don't over think your shot
@Funpants94 He makes an important point here. Do not wait too long to shoot the ball. A few seconds and let's go! If you wait too long you are often going to miss the shot. You may think about it too much!
@therealdeal3161 every player has a routine that the feel comfortable with. It can include dribbles. This tends to relax us for the shot and helps to develop a "RHYTMN" for the shot.
