  • 'The most can be said without words, for what words can not say music can portray with emotion and depth. As long as that music has the emotion within it anyway'

Such a beautiful, haunting, mesmerising piece of music.

  • Music should 'express the inexpressible' and this does. Beautifully.

  • Love it. If you do not like this, or appreciate it would be a better choice in word. Go dig a hole, in a rainy country. Then live in said hole until you appreciate this. Music now means nothing, once upon a time music meant something. This itself has been in several movies and games and has not lost its meaning.

  • This music will be played at my funeral, tomorrow.

  • when i hear this music my soul falls

  • oh my god

  • this remindes me of the books i've read.

  • What a beautiful peace of love flew out of this componist hands

  • First video I've seen with zero dis-likes. That's whats up.

  • I cant breath - my heart stopped at least 5 times just listening to this!....this is an amazing piece....Only Albinoni's adagio can possibly compare....LOVED IT

  • @StealthGenius Try Gustav Mahler's Adgietto, (Fourth movement of Mahler's Symphony #5) If it's divided into two parts on You Tube, hear them both. Exquisite. You'll love it, if you enjoyed this piece by Samuel Barber. I like them both, but I prefer the Mahler Adgietto. Mahler was an AMAZING composer and the Adgietto was only one of MANY breath-taking pieces he wrote. Check him out. You'll not be sorry. ~Cate

  • WHERE did you get this perfect recording????

  • @lovecraft4780

This is the Leonard Bernstein recording. I believe it is the only one that is over 10 minutes. Anyway, it's the best, hands down.

  • WOW! I can hardly believe the power of this exquisite music....remarkably inspired....U-Tube continues to change my life.....no more conventional TV for me.....

  • elevado

    charles ranalli

    albuquerque

  • they used this in space during the fake gunfight. thats why i looked up this song lol

  • to slow for me, this record is boring...

  • this is beautiful , we have gone away from this wonderful music

  • music. there was a time when music was a tangible thing. Where a person would dive into the depths of their soul and let flow their emotions and thoughts. What vain incidious world we have now where our "musicians" are nothing more than an empty vessel expounding on what makes them superioir the rest. They claim to be artists with a message. I beg to have somone tell me the message of Chris Brown or Lady Gaga. I hate this paradigm of reality we've been pushed into. Hopefully we will find our way

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 Oh my I was moved by your view on music speaking of the time when music came from the depths of the artist soul. And calling the artists of today "an empty vessel". How true. We will find our way back to the tangible music because there are people who will demand it.

  • @TheEsthergirl Especially if we find ourselves so bold as to be the ones to demand it.

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 For With Gaga, there is substance there love. Chris Brown, not so much :) but, I can tell you speak from your heart, and I, with every fiber of my being, must commend you.

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 Interesting.. however, far from being a lady gaga fan, she simply sold to the highest bidder (that being pop) would strike you to know possibly, that she is a classically trained, talented pianist, who has and regularly does perform classical concerts. you could say the same about Early Genesis, before they sold out to become rich, given the choice of making money, whilst still making the music i love i would take it any day.

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 I couldn't agree with you more.

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 There is still some magnificent music being created, but it is drowned by the flood of formulaic garbage pushed with the pure intent of making money rather than art.

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 So beautifully spoken and so sadly true :/

  • @PrinceMyshkin22 yes but in among the dross of banal and mundane crap that is forced upon us there remains hope

  • Une des plus belles musiques du monde ! à chaque fois transportée quand je l'écoute, je pars, je vole...et votre vidéo est superbe ! merci

  • Wow, this music starts off so soft i can barely hear it, and then becomes so loud that i have to turn the volume down again...this song is so heart-wrenching that i almost cry :)...

  • @HappyFeet012626 you're suppose to keep turning the volume up until the people in the next state start pounding on your door. Don't bother answering it, they just want you to ask you to turn up the volume even more.

  • @HappyFeet012626 Never turn this down

  • @HappyFeet012626 have you ever played homeworld? if you see the opening of the third mission (where this music actually plays) it's being put in an incredable sad theme where you can litteraly cry from. it is really beautiful in that setting.

  • @HappyFeet012626 go ahead - cry with the strings

  • Autentico, grandissimo capolavoro...

    Grazie! :)

  • The23sec, I can't wait to see your posts. Big thanks.

  • E' bellezza pura,grazie.

  • this takes me to a place where i can forget all the worlds troubles..................

  • Esta música nos coloca na nossa exata condição. Ainda não estamos prontos para chegar lá. Barber chegou. Obrigado meus Deus por enviar gênios como Barber para nos trazer momentos únicos como este.

  • thanks!
