HAHA I love the comment about the pitot probe telling you what the weather is like...you are sort of right about the airspeed though, at least you knew that.
Ha Ha fly by wire try some old school, pulleys, pushrods, turnbuckles man nothing like a whole lot of oil hydro fluid in your hair after working an old school jet! Roll call with knee stains on your uniform no problem. Former F-111 crewchief and Destorm VET. Hell might bought a new uniform with fly by wire!
Your a F-ing clown Nawrocki. if i didn't know any better i'd think you knew what you were talking about. Remember that time you thought your Izuzu PU was so fast
true, but also gotta remember this was in 1990 lol, so most likely this is a brand new jet at macdill considering here at luke our newest jets are from 1990. while shaw now has jets from 2000.
haha dude its gotta be like you first week on the line hahahahahahaha........all amazed ...at a pitot tube lolz..dude....15 crew cheif lakenheath 86-160 bitches
i think i see the old style 63 panthers fighter squadron emblem??? any one see that on the intake cover??? i know they moved to luke afb az a few years later and soon changed the emblem...anyone remember ??
sweet vid....im at the seymour johnson AFB home of the F15E....if our SPs seen we had a video recorder on the flight line theyd definatly say something lol
Very cool. I was an F-16 crew chief up in Misawa Japan in 1990-92. 14th FW. Jet 87-332. We were so low on airmen, that I got my own jet (DCC) at 18. Crazy times! I wasn't smart enough to document any of this stuff, so this was cool to watch!!
1990 and the 63rd AGS!! I was a weapons load toad in the 63rd in 1990 and went to LSC (in Hangar 2) in 1991. My jet was #344 and I scrubbed the hell outta that thing in washrack!
heheheh :-) Ah we had it cleared with MOCC besides it was just a training base LOL. I never wore chem gear until Hill in 94 and rarely worked more than 8 hours at MacDill and always got our ute days.OMG I was a real newbie in this video 3 level wet behind the ears.
The resistance that they create can give alot of slowdown really quick. I got two incentive rides and I have never experienced anything like it after. The ultimate thrill ride. The D model 2 seaters almost always have wing tanks but I got lucky and got to pull 9 Gs in a clean one on my second ride.
Yeah if I would have had the camera you would have but actually I have many films from the flightline including me riding brakes on a tow. I will have to find the tapes.
There is nothing in the cockpit that cant be photographed :P The only thing on the whole airplane that is classified is the IFF system and the radar absorbent material :)
HAHA um on block 50's there is stuff in the cockpit and that door isnt classified. Those tires also last way longer then 6 or 7 flights too. We fly about that many in a day.
Its been 13 years since I even touched an F16 :-) I know the mode 2 door isnt classified LOL. I did work on Lantirn F-16s at Hill I worked on all block 30 and block 40 never saw a block 50 or 52 they have Pratt engines
ay? Remember that was MacDill a training base so we never ran the tires down to cord or even close but yeah more than 6 or 7 flights :P

Yeah taans1 - the F-16 engine only had 17 flight hours on it. But you've got to think that these engines are taken out and rebuilt often.

<laughs> I'll have to find the picture of me wearing the Elmer Fudd hat while TDY in Spain.
I was always at Nuke bases so they were always very strict about pictures and such. Plus, all my "newbie" training was on the job at my first base.
wolfen281 4 years ago
What? Don't need a camera pass anymore on the flight line? I smell Article 15. Or perhaps an LOR. Good luck newbie.
