You sure did make that first race look easy enough. Any race in this game gives me a lot of trouble, especially when you're jumping across those large gaps as a short cut. Use a turbo or jump in the wrong place and it's all over. Plus, the other racers STILL manage to catch up to you if you're not persistent enough. You'd think they'd give you a bit more lenience with the first two races...BUT NOOOOO. Jeez...

It's either a boost then jump, or double jump right after you hit the curve and shoot up.
